Reily's Candy

As a long-time customer of Reily's Candy, I can attest to the quality and delicious confections from this well-established chocolatier. The family owned-and-operated business, who also hires local individuals and thereby supports the community who frequent their store in addition to giving back in other ways, makes their chocolates from scratch. You can smell the enticing scent of homemade chocolates as soon as you open the door. I will continue to buy chocolate from Reily's Candy so long as they're in business & I live close enough to the area.

So, here's my take on things. This shop has HIGH-QUALITY sweets and chocolates. There are a lot of complaints about the older woman serving customers. Upon first interaction, you may think she is rude. But I found her very professional and she has worked long enough. We should give her some time and space to do her work thoroughly. I was very formal and polite with her, and she helped me in different sections with gift wrapping even apologized for not having large shopping bags. She was very knowledgeable. I'm a firm believer that if I want something, it's worth the wait or price. This chocolate borders on how good HAIGH'S Chocolate is in Melbourne, Australia. And they are a high quality, no compromises, chocolatier.

This store has an excellent selection and the display is outstanding, BUT I am exhausted at dealing with a cashier who is moody, ill tempered, and anti-social. This happens whenever this person is working. She came slightly late this morning. She saw me parked in front of the store, and yet she did not acknowledge me until I acknowledged her. I am a 69-year old man. I am always polite and courteous. It would be wonderful if this person learned the art of customer service. It is especially disheartening that this happened during the Christmas holidays, but she ALWAYS acts like this. I continue to shop there because of the quality and quantity of the products.

I am really loving this candy. We stopped for the chocolate covered blueberries, and got the chocolate covered craisins, coconut clusters and chocolate covered espresso beans. All of it spectacular. Sometimes, when you go to small chocolate purveyors, the chocolate is weird. Not there's. It's smoothe, has a great texture and every bites invites you to another. If I am in the area, I will be going back, again and again.
