Diner 42

The food is always fantastic, and you truly cannot beat the price. The atmosphere is not great but I would sacrifice that any day for some good food and even more so when it's at such a great value. I believe it's about 8.99 for a double cheese burger and fries that is comparable to five guys in taste. Do yourself a favor and try this place at least once.

I was visiting family in Medina and they took me to lunch. I was blown away by Diner 42, from the decor to the staff and food! I ordered a single cheeseburger and the best fries ever! My burger was perfect and everything on it very fresh. The fries made me think of being at the Fair,,, Outstanding! The owner and Kat were attentive and hilarious! I'm returning to Medina in a cpl mths and will definitely stop by for a great meal and to visit with the staff!!

Small little place inside, that seems to be transitioning? Just seemed that some items need to find their way to storage. I would say it just needs a little organization to it, so it maximizes the space. The food was awesome. Started with jalapeno peppers (cream cheese) and they were awesome! I had a double cheeseburger & fries. I wouldn't say that the burgers are fresh, hand pressed, meat. Probably even frozen patties, but they were cooked nicely & therefore tasted very good. Couple of the fries seemed to have dried out like maybe they fell into the basket when being scooped with fresh cut fries, which were really good. My wife had tuna salad on a croissant. She said the flavor was very good. She did mention that the tuna salad was a sweeter salad. Proprietor of the diner raved about a new product they may begin serving, a hot donut! Wow! That was awesome, very fresh with crispy edges and sugary sweetness stuck to it! We will be stopping back.

The council woman who claims she owned this place was rude and hostile as well as the gentleman. The food was cold and under cooked. This place doesn't believe in customer satisfaction. I wouldn't allow my dog to eat at this establishment. Was told my kind and my money wasn't welcomed there. Had to get Medina police involved. Forget one star they deserve ZERO

Prices expensive for serving size. Burgers were crunchy over done on bottom, fries were greasy. Paid cash for burgers owner never offered change back that was due. Ordered and paid for a separate order of cherry smoked ribs to go and was charged an eat in tax on bill?? Ate ribs the next day which we were looking forward to with cherry smoked flavor but there was no flavor whats so ever and the sauce was like watered down ketchup. Such a disappointment for the price they charged. Don't recommend.

It's been remodeled since I was last there. They now have a bar and serve alcohol. Some of the menu items have changed. Prices did go up a bit, but everything is more expensive now and this place is still fairly inexpensive. I got a T-Bone and fries it came with au jus sauce, it was only $16.99. It was very good, was a 12 oz steak. Staff and owner very friendly. My only complaint was the muddy pot holed parking lot and entrance platform and stairs were partially snow/ice covered. I will be back.

Small, very clean restaurant. Limited menu, but very good food. 2 persons for Sunday lunch. I had two hotdogs (1 coney, 1 plain + mustard, ketchup) and excellent, crispy fries and slightly spicy chili was wonderful. 2nd person...cheese burger (with crispy edges, like old time griddled burgers) with all the fixings. It was very good, with those great fries. We were disappointed by "no coffee available" and "out of soup of the day (chicken noodle) by 2pm".
