Max Brenner Chocolate Bar

Obviously the hot chocolate and carrot patch cake that I ordered was incredibly scrumptious. However, the service is terrible. There were two staff members taking orders then making the order, then taking another order and so on. This made service very slow. It too 15 minutes for me to be able to place my order, there was only one customer in front of me when I walked in though. I always thought the line was super long because of how amazing the food is, but now I'm thinking it might be because of the service.

I came here today to enjoy a milk hot chocolate with waffle balls. First it came out as a white hot chocolate with waffle balls, so I took it back in. Next it came out as a rather weak and pathetic looking milk chocolate...spoon not included. I eventually obtained a spoon. Looking forward to the waffle ball, I dipped my spoon in only to discover no waffle balls. I couldn't be bothered taking it back in as I assumed at this point that the staff are incompetent. Very disappointed as I was also charged an extra 10% for a public holiday! For an extra 10% I want staff that know what they are doing!!!

Went here on a Saturday night and it was quite tricky to find in the place!! We ordered 2 milk chocolate icy frappes and visited based on good reviews and came especially to try 'the chocolate mess to share'. We went to order and of course they'd 'ran out' of that item! So we decided to choose the choc banana pizza instead . We were also asked if we wanted whipped cream ontop of our frappe so of course we said yes because usually frappes come with whipped cream. We received our drinks first in the 'Alice' cup which are absolutely pointless!! We noticed no whipped cream at all ontop and looked at our receipt to notice that the whipped cream cost us $3 extra!!!! $3 extra without even letting us know that whipped cream would be an extra charge!!! The taste was nothing special and for nearly $10 a frappe it is an absolute rip off. Not big enough for the price you pay! We then asked for our $3 refund because we got no whipped cream, to which the staff member behind the counter was very rude about it! As for the choc banana pizza, it was also an absolute rip off!! I imagined for $17.90 it would be the size of a large pizza but it was tiny for the price! It had small amounts of marshmallow and one small banana spread around which didn't even cover the entire pizza!! We didn't even get a piece of banana on every slice! Certainly not like the photos.I can't believe how over priced this place is. I will never be returning. Extremely disappointed and don't know why this place is raved about so much. How can you fathom charging so much money for mediocre food.

Amazing desserts - delicious and just the right size.....sadly however the service seems a bit disorganized. Dining as a couple we had a while to wait and then desserts were bought out around 5 minutes apart. Could have been done a lot better as plenty of well presented staff were on duty....saving grace is the food was that good we would go back in hope the service has improved.

I was very disappointing. I ordered a hot milk chocolate with a waffle, and firstly they let me know that the order was going to take a few minutes more tha usual which was very good, but then when i got my meal i just got the waffle and i let the waiter know that was missing my hot chocolate after 5 min the hot chocolate didn't come, so i went to the waiter to let him know, so then i didnt have to wait somlong for the hot chocolate. But it was so milky, it didnt even look like a hot chocolate i have tried before in other max brenners,

So many chocolate shops but Max Brenner's complete menu is a masterful blend of options that covers every different flavour combination you could be after. From the famous waffles, to the luscious fondu and drink selection, there's even a praline selection I'm yet to see more skilfully matched, the first time. I took a girl here on a date, we ended up engaged in 18 months and married a year later! Who doesn't remember an anniversary, when it means getting chocolate from Max Brenner!
