Woods Cafe - Bar - Restaurant

Their sriracha chicken wings were very yummy! I was there on the 19th of November, 2020 for a first date. The place always has a good vibe when I go past it after my walk around the lake, so I suggested it to the guy. The date didn't turn into anything but we both liked the place. I wanted to express my appreciation to the girl at the bar that evening who made us virgin mojito. She was awesome!

Attempted to have lunch at woods while on a course at the hotel. We only had 45 minutes for lunch. Ordered at 12:10 in the cafe area. About 10 minutes later a large group sat in the main restaurant area. They all got their lunch before I did. 40 minutes later still no lunch. Told waiter to cancel the order as I had to go back to class. Lunch miraculously arrived. Put into takeaway container. Southern fried chicken burger turned out to be a manky piece of dry grilled chicken, a couple of sprigs of rocket and no mayo to speak of on a stale rock hard bun. It went straight in the bin. Worst lunch /service I've experienced for a long time!

I didn’t like the service. Went to have lunch and the waiter Ruby was very rude and ignorant. Made me feel bad and unwelcome. Moreover, her behaviour felt racist, as she served people ‘Australians’ who came after me first. One of the worst experiences ever. Decided to leave that place as soon as possible. Do not recommend you to even go there and destroy your mood as there are many great places to eat with a better service in Melbourne.

Worst restaurant I've been to in a very long time. After booking a table for seven of our staff to have lunch together over the phone, we arrived and took our seat. We then waited 20 minutes for our orders to be taken and another 15 for our drinks to arrive. We received dry chicken and burnt parmas at different times and then had to discover for ourselves that two salmon dishes that we ordered were forgotten about. After speaking with management twice, we were told that it was because the ticket machine wasn't printing correctly, where in actual fact it was because of the lack of service and having no waiters check our table at any stage. We also had to send a tomato juice back. In the end, we didn't even eat the last two orders because they would take another 10 minutes. We left with only 5/7 people actually having lunch and all of us not satisfied. Overall, very unhappy and will not be returning.

This is easily one of the worst places I’ve been to in a long time. The service was appalling. Half an hour to get a beer served. Glass was dropped at the entrance by a waitress and was left there for the entire time while customers walked in it or around it. If I could give half a star it would be for the food which was actually edible which was a nice surprise.

Don't go here if you actually want service. Found the Woods when I was wandering around St Kilda Road looking for some breakfast options. Walked in and was met by a waiter who asked whether we wanted buffet or a la carte. We elected for the a la carte and he provided us with menus and took our coffee order. After 20 minutes we hadn't received our coffees or seen the waiter again to order food. I walked around the cafe to try and find the waiter, however no where to be seen. Waited another 5 minutes before deciding to go elsewhere. Terrible experience, definitely would not recommend.
