Terrific bar, great staff and excellent ambience

This is a very fine establishment run by the excellent owner, Anthony and friendly, professional wait staff (Nora and Andreas). The food is to die for, the wine list is a little limited but eclectic and of very good quality. All up, one of the best restaurants in Melbourne for what it is. I tip my lid.

Great little restaurant. Greeted warmly by the owner (AJ) when we came in, the waitress was also super friendly and helpful.
Food was beautifully presented and delicious. Drinks were also good.
Nice atmosphere and brilliant chef.
Highly recommend.
It was quite on the couple of times I went there but don’t let that put you off. Give it a try, you won’t regret it.

My girlfriend and I had a fabulous experience at Mr Piccolo. Our table was the only free table when we arrived at 8:15pm Friday night and the service, atmosphere, cocktails and food were exceptional. Always a nice feeling when you can converse with the owner and his wait staff. We'll be back with friends.

Great vibe - accommodated our under 2 child and were very helpful. Only blemish if anything was there were those annoying bugs that fly around. Hopefully they can get rid of them. Service, drinks and food great. Get in before 6pm for happy hour.

Yummy food aracini balls are awesome massive serve for an entre size. Staff allowed us to stay even though the place had technically closed. They didn't rush us as we kept talking away. Nice cosy place lively bathroom friendly staff. Yummy cocktails and probably the best margaritas out if the US I have had in a while. I will be back

Disappointing food there was only a tiny hint of salami in my gnocchi Calabrese and the sauce tasted like it came from a jar. The croquettes were awesome but not enough to increase the rating just like the portion sizes needed lifting. Spent a lot of cash and left hungry.🤨

Great to see some serious restauranting happening in Kensington. We walked in on opening night and the team kindly squeezed us in. A good sign on the first night. Food was perfectly familiar italian fare with a tidy wine selection too.
