Mr.percival Cafe & Restaurant

One street in from St Kilda Rd, in the middle of the many high rise apartment buildings is this cafe and restaurant. I’ve been there a couple times now and am pretty happy with the service, the food and the coffee. Today I had the eggs benedict. It’s quite filling, on a brioche bun type thing, chorizo patties, poached eggs, hollandaise sauce and some other toppings. It was probably a bit heavy for beaky but yum. My partner had scrambled eggs on sourdough toast with bacon. Looked pretty great. That’s what I’m having next time. The coffee was delicious too.

They were amazing, from the service, the staff and the food. I organised with them a couple of weeks ahead that I will require a table for a bridal party (best man duties), they looked after us and kept a reserved table for Sunday morning. The staff were so friendly and catered to all our needs, food was tasty and coffees really good. Thank you for looking after us, just made the start of the day so much easier.

Starting with the interiors - being an Architect, pragya approves them. They are nice, open bright and contemporary. With loads of seating with different arrangements which is always interesting. . . Coming to the food - there is lot of variety for breakky & lunch, and it was so difficult to choose from, so we went crazy and ordered- *SMASHED AVOCADO - which came with oumpkin, feta, beetroot puree, poached egg & toast *SWEET POTATO & LENTIL FRITTERS - these were to die for and came with crispy roti, avocado & poached egg . Amazing fusion we must say. *CLASSIC EGG & BACON ROLL - this can never go wrong, but it was one of the best we have had here *FRENCH TOAST - came with butter burnt ice cream, chocolate ganache & berries. . . It was a lot but we smashed everything because the food was so good.. We would definitely recommend this place for your next brunch, lunch visit!!
