Pigro Restaurant

Definitely a little underwhelming type of restaurant. Nicely decorated and friendly waiter. We were expecting our food to arrive promptly for which it did. Having attended on the $25 steak night both steaks were cooked well and tasted beautiful. The respective cuts of meat appeared to be of high quality and they were complemented with a side of potatoes and vegetables. However the side quantity was lacking a little but the quality of the cut of meat and it's taste overwhelmingly made up for it. The salad and chips were both fresh and well portioned and everything went well. Along with a glass of wine each the total bill came out to approximately $85.00 which left us satisfied but not bursting at the seams! However, the coffee for which i ordered came out to $4.50 and upon paying with my AMEX I was not made aware that there was a surcharge, it was just automatically added to the bill. I think this is a big letdown and despite it not being a high amount, some notice would have been nice.

Definitely call and book, I made the mistake of booking online and we where seated outside where it was windy and too cold to take my jacket off, they do have outdoor heating but it wasn't enough. Our table also wasn't set but many around us were including details like candles. We were given food menus when we were seated but when our waitress come back to take our drinks order we had to request to see the drinks menu. But all that aside the food was delicious with generous servings and reasonably priced. I would go back here for a function but not dinner for two, it's a busy bustling atmosphere here.

The staff are really lovely, and the food seemed good to most people, but this is not the place for vegans like me. I ordered the only dish they had, a Napoletana pasta, and it was a very small serving compared to others’. The sauce was very sweet, and I still felt very hungry after. This small dish costs around $23.00

One of the best feeds in the north-east, we had the oysters followed by the steaks which basically melted in you mouth, so delicious. Cocktails were made perfectly & the atmosphere was just right with the lights dimmed with some lovely background music to make the experience unforgettable. Ive also heard the parma & pizza is to die for so I'll be back soon to try them too 🙂

My burger and fries tasted nice however, there were 7 of us dining. We ordered entrees which came out at different times instead of all at once making us wait 20 minutes from one entree to another and the was served main one hour and forty five minutes..and again same thing mains didn't come out at once..when I mentioned it was taking a long time the waitress rolled her eyes. Some of us enjoyed our meal and some didn't..the stuffed peppers tasted bland and had no flavour at all, the chicken breast with potatoes was extremely dry and the Greek salad was not crisp at all.
