Mr. Carpano Dining + Bar

Everything is good,great food, nice staff. Staffs are busy but still very friendly and patiently .The only pity is that there is no steak and seafood noodles today, but beef pasta and fish are all good, good taste! Hotel reception staff is really friendly and good customer service . Good experience today 👍🏻👍🏻

Had a good time at mr Carpano yesterday night. We went for the bottomless dinner, which started with some garlic bread, followed by some sausage pizza, a delicious meat pasta, another vegetarian pasta and some salad to go with. And not to forget the unlimited wine/beer throughout the 2hrs. The ambiance was top notch and the staffs were amazing. Overall i had a good time here :)

AMAZING SERVICE AND DELICIOUS FOOD AND DRINKS! We stayed at the Novotel South Wharf for two nights and ate and drank at Mr Carpano for the duration of our stay. The staff and service trumped many 5 star local and overseas hotels and restaurants we have been too. The drinks were so delicious and the food brilliant. Due to COVID there is a limited menu at the moment but we can't wait to visit the lovely staff again soon and eat from their full menu. The restaurant decor is stunning as well. Would be perfect for a cocktail function! The Elderflower Sour, Lychee Mule and Passionfruit Mojito are a must try! The steak sandwich? Don't leave without trying!

For a supposedly an upmarket restaurant, my dining experience was disappointing. The seafood on my linguini tasted fishy and not fresh at all. The pasta was overcooked. The appetiser came together with the main meal and it was not an appetising dish. We had to eat the appetiser quickly so our main meal doesnt get cold! They could do better.

Food was superb. Ufortunately the quality of the food was let down by the lack of service. One waiter was trying to do everything, welcome patrons, take orders, get drinks, clear tables, serve food and anything else that needed doing. We had to ask to see the wine list and it took over an hour to get our entree.

Had a very nice meal at Mr Carpano. Started with the Salami Pizza for entree which was tasty and had the right amount of topping. The Warrnambool Yellow Fin Tuna is not a typical menu item you'll find at a restaurant so we tried it. We enjoyed the dish. Our favourite dish though, was the Pasta with Chilli and Garlic Marinated Tiger Prawns. The pasta was fresh and the prawns had a good hit of chilli. The dish came with 8 large prawns. We finished off the meal with the refreshing Mango Parfait. Would recommend all the dishes we ordered. We returned to Mr Carpano for another meal and on this occasion tried the scallop and calamari entrees. Both very nice and dishes I would recommend. The coconut panna cotta was also delicious however I thought the portion was a bit small. I was a little disappointed that Mr Carpano change their Happy Hour from 4-7pm to 5-6pm since I last dined about 6 weeks ago. $5 house wines, beer or spirits for only a short time. The restaurant is located in South Wharf, near the Melbourne Convention Centre and opposite DFO.
