Dumpling Sister

I came here randomly as I walked by and was incredibly happy that I did. The dumplings were amazing, freshly made in front of us. Also ordered various noodle dishes and all were great. Great size serves and very tasty. I came back through Melbourne and this was the first stop I wanted to take for food. To my surprise, the restaurant was closed for renovations so I was going to be out of luck getting my dumplings. Until one of the employees there just happened to walk by and I told him how I enjoyed my meal so much I made sure to come back. So he asked us what we wanted in terms of dumplings and went inside and grabbed us a bag of dumplings that they had in the freezer. I couldn't be more happy with the friendliness of the employee and the dumplings were just as delicious as I remember. Definitely give this place a visit, especially since they are renovating the place

Disgusting. Sat down and immediately felt uncomfortable with how visibly dirty this restaurant appeared. Was given menus which were just as filthy. Decided against ordering anything and got up to leave. The two women running the restaurant then followed me to the door verbally abusing me for leaving. I had not ordered and had only been given menus, nothing else. And yet I was screamed at in front of the other people in the restaurant. How unprofessional. They must be desperate for business. Or just extremely aggressive and unreasonable. Would definitely not recommend visiting the dumpling sisters.

I've been to all the top rated dumpling restaurants in the city, Hawthorn and Box Hill and despite some of them having queues to get in and being extremely popular, the dumplings here beat them all!, the Shanghai pork dumplings are a must try. The flavor will make you weep with amazement (just let them cool a bit!) I've slowly been working through the menu and just keep getting impressed, to the point that I've made it my weekly Monday dinner spot. Staff are very friendly too! I can't get enough

Never again! The sauce and vinegar pots to share that were on every table looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a month. We couldn’t eat together as our four dishes arrived well apart and when the last dish arrived it tasted burnt. I sent it back to the kitchen as the 4 of us agreed it was uneatable. Then the rude old waitress lady slammed it back down on the table and told me there was nothing wrong with it and that is what it’s supposed to taste like! Discraceful customer service, and not sure if would pass health and safety inspection. Strongly recommend NOT eating there! 😤

Great dumplings, have always loved them however since the store was purchased late 2015 the quality of service has rapidly declined. I use to be served with a smile and positive attitude however today I got wet menus thrown at my table, got served by am Asian lady with dough all over hands and after being told what drinks we wanted we were told to get them ourselves. Customer service was very poor!

Average dumplings, average service I popped in real quick for a lunch break and got a big plate of dumplings. Service was close to non existent, but I've come to expect that from these smaller dumpling places. The food for itself was ok but a little watery compared to other steamed dumplings I've had elsewhere.
