Always loved their rendang. Sometimes it's great, other times just good but always makes me happy. Feels like the size of the roti serve is going down. Shrinkflation?

Reliable source of tasty laksa. Rich Thick mildly spicy soup and noodles. Chicken and seafood options good. Generous serves.

REASONABLY GOOD AND AUTHENTIC MALAYSIAN CUISINE BUT SLOW SERVICE
Update 23 December 2020
Food now served in plastic bowls and disposable cutlery due to covid. Laksa soup and noodles provided separately and not quite the same as preasembled dish:(
This place is a very popular choice in the Emporium food court and has typically Malaysian dishes.
Food quality is good and the serving size is quite generous.
My favourite is char kway teow. The menu offers only seafood version but they are happy to make the beef version that I prefer.
Laksa is good. Roti is tasty and flaky.
I eat there infrequently because it takes so long for them to prepare your meal... This is a double edged sword because the individual preparation that takes time also means its better tasting than food kept in a bain marie!
The food court is always really crowded on weekends so you may struggle to find a table. Fortunately the outlet provides you with a buzzer to let you know when your food is ready so you can use the time you need to wait for the food productively looking for a table!

Delicious Chicken Laksa and nice Char Kway Teow. The roti was decent but the peanut sauce was quite oily. I wish the CKT had more Char but good for indoor food court.

The Emporium is a big place and finding the food court can be a mission. But when you do, you’ll be glad to find a haven like Chinta Ria Soul.
Located in the food court in the Emporium, this is one place where you definitely need to get there before the rush. Or… just have some patience.
We were lucky. Even though we made it during the afternoon lunch hour, we managed to get seats. What’s even better, is that was the best place for Char Keow Teow in the city. Junior Tan, may finally have competition. May.
The ingredients were fresh, even if the noodles tasted a bit like they were from a packet. The freshness of the prawns and the crunchiness of the vegetables made this a true delight. And to top it off, it was just over $10. Of course, the wait is a killer, but if you can bear to wait the 20 minutes then you can enjoy some really healthy. Having said that, the service could do with a smile and a “thank you for waiting”. Once again, it was the company of people I kept for lunch that saved me. Remember how I said Junior Tan, may have competition? Well, it doesn’t. I would much rather eat at a less than fresh location that had excellent service. Go there to try it once, but don’t go back. Save yourself the trouble.
