Toyko-ya Japanese

Good Japanese restaurant in a not so good location. Went here for dinner and liked the food very much even tho not all dishes are authentic Japanese (coming from my Japanese friend). Udon was super delicious, fried chicken was nice and crispy, tofu was in point but sweet potato chips were just the normal ones deep fried. Still enjoyable and unbeatable prices for the quality!!! Will be back

Awesome customer service.The pork gyoza was perfect and well fried and not too oily which really fascinated me.The dipping sauce was good as well.Talking about teriyaki chicken, it was bloody awesome and the sauce made even juicy.The red small chunks i guess pickle but that was really sour and so good to mix with rice.Overall service was good with perfect portions.The sitting environment was unique.Would come again to see you guys.Thanks for today’s dinner❤️

Had my partner's 31st bday celebration at Tokyo 7 and will most likely have all our events here haha! We cannot recommend them highly enough, the place, food and staff were all amazing! All of our guests were impressed as it was a last minute change from the house party we were supposed to have . But due to restrictions we had to look for an alternative and Tokyo 7 has exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we walked into the restaurant we felt at home with the warm greetings of their staff, they were so friendly and professional at the same time. They made sure all of our guests were very well looked after. We all had a great night and I'm sure anyone who walks into Tokyo 7 will leave with the same joy we experienced. Thanks Tokyo 7! job well done <3

The place looked very nice,I was fell like sitting in Japan staff 😚was very friendly and quick service :)The food was good. Good size portions - small enough plenty to choose from the all you can eat as well as sake or wine, that you can try a few different things. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Melbourne. Thank you for our great dinner ;)
