Given that Mrs Kim Grill have three stores, they sounded like a chain that I get suspicious about delivering sub standard food. I was unsure why they got good reviews but my friend wanted Korean in South Melbourne so I decided to give them a go. How wrong was I? Granted, we only had their lunch specials and not their grilled meats / Korean BBQ, but I really loved their seafood soft tofu stew here. The flavours are spot on and they give you fresh seafood which obviously makes all the difference in the world. The young woman who served us was super friendly, I think she is the owner. I can’t wait to try their Korean BBQ and report back!

Friendly service and regular attendance by the staffs. No complaints here. They will get you your seats sorted, but you can request a certain area if you wish. I came here with my partner as we had just finished work and were too lazy to cook at home. For the price we paid, I would've rather gone to McDonalds. What you see comes to roughly $70. The portion was alright, but the quality of the food was probably 6/10 at best. The salmon salad was somewhat still frozen, the steamed egg too watery and seasoned onions were old. The kimchi side dish on the other hand was very fresh and enticing. The baby octopus we ordered on top of the soy pork set was maybe 3/10. The flavour was dull, there was no chewiness and it had a bad fishy aftertaste. Would I come here again? Not really, unless someone convinced me about their friendly service. But taste is meh and the prices of the menu aren't justifiable either. You won't get your authentic kbbq taste here.

Amazing 10/10 value. $65 share platter would easily feed 4 adults. Very Friendly staff and family owned business. They've imbued soul into the place well. Asking if people would like to cook the meals themselves would be a great experience.

We love coming to this place since it opened. When we have visitors we take them here. It's reasonably priced and we are well fed by the time we finish eating. They also have a nice low alcohol lychee cider that's absolutely delicious.

I have only tried their lunch special. Had the Kimchi Pork stew which tasted pretty good and was great on a cold day. The pork belly was a wee little chewy but the flavour made up for it. They are inexpensive as a lunch option. Service may be hit and miss as a table that seated after us ended waiting a while before their order was taken.

Went in for the 30$ all you can eat. Specifically told the waitress we wanted the special and she showed us the menu but didn't fully explain where the special menu ended and the regular menu started (ordering was done on a tablet). We started to order unknowing to us on the wrong menu not included on the special and the waitress served us without telling us we ordered from the wrong menu. By the time we finished and got up to pay the bill was up to $140... We were extremely confused. After they explained we ordered from the full price menu, they said they couldn't do anything to help with the bill. What was meant to be a roughly $70 meal cost us double... Extremely disappointing. Will not be returning and would not recommend to others. The quality of the meat was sub par. Better korean BBQ places in the city for much cheaper.

If you like meat, you wont be disappointed. My five stars is related to my personal experience: it was fun (we spent 1h30 hours "cooking")and tasty, with great value for money. My boyfriend and I went for all you can eat and, in fact, we ate a lot. There was chicken soy, chicken spice, thinned sliced beef (my favorite!!) and thinned sliced spice pork.Veggies, soups and sauces were interesting. Although it is not a fancy place, service was good and we felt welcome there.

Korean BBQ is one of my favorite cuisines. But this Korean BBQ was a major let down. I seriously would of been more satisfied with a happy meal from McDonald's. The service was pretty poor, so poor that they left our food to burn and I had to start cooking it myself. They forgot to give our table side dishes and when I requested them, they didn't understand me, so I have up. Paid over $80. Wasn't even worth a quarter of that value in my opinion.
