Dreadful from start to end. Don’t be fooled by the inviting pictures. First the service was poor. We were waiting outside and couldn’t even find out if there were seats available or what the estimated waiting time would be. He just kept getting a hands ✋🏼 There we’re tables available. Next we watched the staff cleaning a table and she basically just swept all the food crumbs on the table onto the seats and floor. Unhygienic. When we eventually sat down, nobody told us we had to order at the counter. When we placed the order, the cashier kept asking what sauce we wanted when I specifically pointed to the option which was sauce inclusive. Not sure what more I could do. And the last mail in the coffin was the abysmal food. The scallops were horrible! Tasteless, cold, thin and tasted quite stale. One of our diners even spat it back out. Bowl sizes weren’t consistent too. Also, don’t call it Singapore Chilli Crab please, it’s nowhere near. Needless to say, never again.

Amazing food and ambience ❤️ The menu is huge is available online and hence you can decide before hand what to order! You need to place the order by scanning the QR code present on table and pay at the counter after your meal. Service was pretty quick. All the dishes are available as a meal and side course which is great 💯 I had soft carb meal and unagi as side dish which were mouth watering 🤤 Would definitely recommend this place if you are around Chadstone! Tip: If you are someone who does not eat with chopsticks, they only have soup spoons which are huge. So, better carry a spoon or fork from home!

This place was very busy and lack of staff. There was only 1 girl running around in the front on Saturday night. However, their udon soup is fantastic. Even though I’m not a big fan of udon but OMI made it so alright. Though the serving looks small but actually it’s the right amount for 1 people. Their side dish and topping (mentaiko and salted egg crab) were quite salty to me but my friend loved it.

Always amazes me with their amazing rice bowls, drinks and desserts. If your wanting a quick and yummy Japanese meals, check this place out!! 🤩😱 Tried the Karubi 🥩 range and it really hits different! I love the boneless short rib, the meat itself was super juicy and tender. 😍 What we ordered: 🥩 Karubi with Black Pepper Rice Bowl ($32.90) 🦀 Soft Shell Crab Udon Bowl with Singapore Chilli Crab & Mentaiko sauce ($20.90) 🐚 Aburi Hokkaido Scallop with Teriyaki ($12.90) 🍋 Maple Yuzu Sparkling ($6.90) 🥤 Iced Houjicha Latte ($4.90) 🍰 Okinawa Brown Sugar Boba Crepe Cake ($8.90) 💬: They have such a wide range of sauces 🤣😱 that it was so hard to choose what I wanted my proteins to have. This place is your one stop for for everything, you can order a full course meal from main dish, drinks & desserts. Can never get enough of omi !! Will always will crave for it 😍🥺

✨KARUBI FEAST✨ I think I’ve just found my favourite ❤️ cut of beef! And that’s KARUBI! So for those who don’t know , karubi is the boneless short rib Last week I tried @omiaustralia ‘s Karubi 🥩 range and it really hits the spot as the meat is super tender and juicy 😋 Love how it’s marbled but not overly fatty and you can have it in udon 🍜 or rice don 🍚! They even have different premium sauces you can choose from 😋 Featured: - Karubi don with salted egg yolk - Karubi udon - Scallop on black truffle sauce - Thai milk tea crepe - Hojicha creme brulee ✅ Really recommend trying their Karubi menu and I find that the black truffle sauce and mentaiko mayo pairs it so well! 😋 Follow me on IG @eatwithmish for more food reviews and adventures 😉

We ordered the truffle fries, karaage chicken with salted egg bowl & soft shell crab bowl. Iced matcha and iced houjicha were pretty meh… Could definitely do better. Food wise serving speed was quick but not too fresh/hot when served, tastes as if it was already fried and left it there for a little while. Taste was good 👍🏻 Service could certainly do better as well. Asked for an extra straw because the “paper straw” was soaked and took them 30mins to remember… Overall experience 3/5. Worth a visit but wouldn’t visit often.
