Ichimaki

Good quality Japanese cuisine with a good range of dishes to choose from. During lunch hour on weekdays it can be extremely busy and to particularly on Friday. The seating area downstairs is limited but there is extra seating upstairs. Sometimes when they are very busy you may have to wait for a table. Prices aren’t cheap but the quality is good.

Great quality sushi rolls - fresh, packed with generous filling, and well flavoured sushi rice. Their sushi rolls seem to be the best quality in the Docklands - especially when fresh as the nori works well with their sushi rice. They also serve a good selection of pre-made dishes such as gyoza, okonomiyaki (japanese pancakes), and a variety of noodles and rice dishes. The okonomiyaki is average in taste and a generous size, though lacking in moisture - make sure you have plenty of sauce on top for extra flavour otherwise it can seem bland.

I came yesterday and was served by Kathy who was so polite and friendly and explained the vegitarian dishes well for me and my mum to pick what we wanted. Food came out nice and hot and didn't take ages. We ordered the vegitarian noodles with prawns and chilli, I have to say food was so amazing! Sushi was also amazing and fresh. Overall highly recommend, it's always nice eating at a pleasant friendly place.

If you like Japanese food, you'll love this place! I come here on the regular. Lunchtimes are busy but the service is quick and you dont have to wait long. Slightly more expensive compared to some of the other places around but the quality is worth it and pricing is still quite reasonable. I will continue to have meals here. I recommend to all! :)
