Hawker's Corner

Came for a quick take away lunch (although you can eat inside or outside st the front or rear on the deck). Service was fast and the staff were exceptionally helpful. I ordered a chicken laksa. Only downside that they don’t have roti bread to go with it. Located right opposite the NAB village this place has a solid customer base who come back time and time again. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Takeaway or eat in. Some food is already made up but mostly it’s cooked fresh for you in a short period of time.

I ordered a vegan hokkien fried noodle dish and halfway through found a piece of fish in it. They were polite and promptly made me a new one, but any restaurant that serves me meat instantly goes on my sh*t-list. People can get really sick from eating the wrong food, especially if they have an allergy or intolerance, so these sorts of mistakes aren't ok.

Possibly the worst Banh Mi I've ever had. It was "pre made" so that had me worried from the start, the roll was chewy, no chilli, no pate... and an "old school" 20c surcharge for card!? Surprises me how a restaurant can serve something of such poor quality in this day n' age. Have they not tasted a good banh mi before? What were they thinking?? Won't go back to this place. Not sure about their other food: I will stay away on principle.

I was a regular customer here before i leave docklands for another job. Was in docklands the other day , oh man , it tasted really bad compared to the past . Menu changed , the pho is bad , I can never imagine both different cuisine in the same store . I guess the chef have to be of both cuisine experts to do that, which is rare. All in all , this store will never get my faith back . Customer service was worse than the taste I must say . Bad.

Work nearby, come every now and then for lunch. Quality of food has decreased. Just had Rendang beef special and half of the meat on my plate was fat. Raised it with the wait staffperson keeping my table and he literally shrugged. With so many good and better quality options nearby would suggest people take their patronage elsewhere.

It’s rare I find an authentic, delicious hawker restaurant on the east coast of Australia but hot damn, this is one of them. Over the time they have opened I have tried almost everything on the menu and to this day still remains one of my favourite places to visit while in Melbourne working. Try their Teh Tarik and Nasi Lemak!

Went here today given that I enjoy malaysian food. Ordered a nasi goreng at 2:15pm when the lunch masses had cleared and there was only 3 others in the place. Waited 15minutes and no sign of my food coming. Asked the cashier about my food and she looked at me like she didnt understand what I was saying. One of the kitchen staff came and he realised they forgot my order (but wernt busy as they were talking to themselves) and went to cook my food. This was thr second time I have had to wait over 15 minutes for my food with no crowd so I asked for a refund and left. Wont be coming back here. Will find another asian place with better service who can understand their customers.

I hope I just ordered the worst thing on the menu, but I was incredibly disappointed by their Nasi Lemak. Having just moved to Melbourne from Singapore, I was excited by the prospect of a a meal that reminded me of home, but it was not the be. The chili sambal was weak and the Rendang was grey and lacked flavour. I will admit that my colleagues Char Kway Teow smelt amazing, so I will come back to try that.
