Wot A Kebab

Good kebabs. Zaatar bread if it hasn't sold out, otherwise pita. excellent snack packs .can recommend the jolly Jeff's .good service. Long opening hours a few small tables inside for eat in, lots outside with umbrellas and bigger tables~ great for daytime or groups. Tables have a qr code you can order and pay online from the table and the food arrives at your table. No app required.

Its a small thing I know, but insisting that only garlic sauce is included in the lunch special seemed a bit much to me. I'd probably have just added the requested chilli sauce but mentioned that it's usually $x extra as a note for next time, rather than outline how rising costs make it an expense that the business couldn't afford. I'd not have written anything but the chips were super stale too and the whole thing left me wondering about the place. I live very nearby, so It would be a handy lunch option, but I'm going to be exploring further afield for my kebabs going forward unfortunately.

Let’s start from the beginning shall we. It’s Monday, I’ve been in the office for 10 hours and I’m hungry so on the way home the usual “what’s for dinner” conversation between my house mate and I comes up. The stars aligned and for once we agreed on something quickly - HSP. I figured the fates had spoken so we order from this restaurant on Door Dash. The first order comes and it’s missing 75% of the items, now I’m a reasonable woman so I get back on Door Dash to have it resent. The second order comes and somehow it’s the wrong order AGAIN and I mean it’s way off. Now I can’t even ring the store and the worst part is they’ve sent me a lamb kebab, I DON’T EAT LAMB. All in all, this has been a nightmare and I wouldn’t dare order here again.

So, today I had the worst experience with this restaurant (WOT A Kebab). I have been ordering with them for over 3 years now, food was great before but now its below average. I heard restaurant owner had changed hands, but I wasn't expecting the food quality and basic manners to get so worse. I ordered a HSP which was on promotion (looks like you get a better treatment if you don't order off the promotion menu). The UberEats app asked me to pick up. Upon arriving, he(restaurant owner) ignored me first and then asked me to show the order, I produced it to show him, but he walked away, he came back and asked again, I tried to show him, he walked away again. I showed him my order which was ready to pickup, I also showed him what I ordered and also my name, but this person was very rude, and said I cant give you food because I don't see any order number. I explained him I am not the delivery guy, I ordered for myself and this is all I can show you. He again walked away in the middle of conversation, he went to prepare the order, so turns out he did not have it ready in the first place. And then he came back with the food, and said next time you wont get the food, I took the order and tried to explain him, that I cant show him anything if he keeps walking away from me. To which he said, "give me the order I want to show you something", and as soon as I handed him the food, he put it away and said, "go get f**ked". I said I will report this to the owner, he said "I am the owner do whatever you want" I checked the app, and it said I had picked up the order. Yes, I know, I had no words either. I reported this to UberEats and I got my money back. But today I made an enemy there. I read other reviews and recent responses from the owner, I knew I wasn't the only one. I think he is laundering money or something, I don't think any other business cares so less as them. By all means, AVOID this restaurant. P.S. I never post anything bad about any business, instead I try to support them because of COVID, but this was unavoidable.
