Rita's Pizza

A friend and local recommended Rita to us. Just so happens on Wednesdays they have a pizza special and we decided to try them. The pizza dough was soft with a decent bite. Flavour was great and toppings were fresh. Crust was perfect - not dry or hard but with a slightly crunchy outside and soft chewy inside. Will definitely be back for more.

Used to enjoy the pizzas from this place however, this has been tarnished by a recent customer service experience. After talking this place up to my partner, I rang up at 5:30pm on a Sunday to place an order (well within their advertised operating hours). Was interrupted before I even finished my first sentence with the blunt phrase “we’re not taking orders for another hour” after which the guy on the other side of the line just hung up. A short apology and explanation would have been sufficient. If this was caused by a backlog of orders, we would have understood and not have held it against them. Given the price, a certain level of service in customer interaction is expected. The pizza is good, but with so many great options in the area offering good customer service, I doubt I’ll be returning here.

Little Rita’s is an awesome hole-in-the-wall pizza shop. Super delicious pizzas, quality toppings, awesome crust. Really friendly and helpful staff. I’ve ordered from here twice before, and the pizzas are consistently good. Prosciutto pizza is my favourite so far. Thanks guys! Don’t forget your Rita’s Money from the side of each box. You will be back!

Genuinely some of the tastiest pizza in Melb.... until it isn't. I've seen how busy they get on weekends when ordering pickup, with seemingly hundreds of pizzas ready to go, but it's still frustrating when they leave out items or the quality isn't up to their usual mid-week standard. Still, when it's good... it's GOOD. All the ingredients are of high quality, pretty much always cooked perfectly, and the crust/dough they use is phenomenal
