what a beautiful dining ecperience at BBQ Villa located on 498 city rd south melb. started with seekh kebabs malai boti and kasturi boti in Entree. chicken pieces were really juicy and marinated well.. wasnt sticky at all.. in the main we ordered chicken balti, chicken madras, prawns vindaloo and goat biryani.. chicken balti was actually served in a balti and taste was very good. chicken madras wqs another sutprise to taste buds followed by prawns vindaloo... overall experience was really good. food was prepared fresh as we could tell from the aroma... best thing my mother loved every dish we ordered.. service was bit slow for bread(naan) but its all good... this is a must visit place if your visiting melbourne cbd or crown and really wants to give ur taste buds nice tasting food experience...

Cosy place with courteous staff but service was a bit lousy. Food taste was good but portions were small. We ordered samosa chaat (had to takeaway eventually coz it took forever to get to the table). Bbq villa special drumsticks- very tender and flavorsome. Balti chicken- average, Iike any other chicken curry but small serve (fits my palm!) garlic naans were good, didnt likethe gulab jamun or rasmalai served with coconut shaving...

I wish I could give them 0. Worst restaurant in Melbourne. We went there on iftar. The food was pathetic. I have no words to explain how bad it was extremely unprofessional with high prices. They advertised heaps of dishes but in real they are couple of there not even 1 dish I can say good. You should shut down your business and stop people ripping off. When I asked where are other dishes as you advertised,so they told us we have just change our menu and we don’t serve now but they are charging same price for this rubbish. They are just misleading people. It just waste of money and time.

Went there for dinner tonight for a birthday and it was literally a nightmare. We ordered the white chicken korma, butter chicken, kadhai paneer, chicken kadhai... all of the non veg dishes had a bad smell and tasted so awful. On top of that, the food took over 1.5 hours to come out. The atmosphere in the restaurant was dull with no central heating. Like a freezer in there. Once we mentioned this to the owner/chef he showed no sympathy or remorse. He blamed us for not ordering the "right thing or right amount". Also when we ordered for the night, he said there would be a buffet but once we got there, no sign or a buffet at all. Would not recommend this place at all. STAY AWAY!!!
