Billys Trackside

Went today for a quick coffee. The coffee is good. The food was really delicious and the girl at the front was so sweet and friendly. Exactly the person you want to see in the morning when you need a coffee. I also like that the place has different areas for you to sit wherever you want. Will be coming here very often.

Disappointing. Environment lacked any character. We were the only ppl in the restaurant at 7pm on a Saturday night. Another couple arrived by the time we left. Waiter polite and efficient. Meals below average considering the chef who was sitting at his laptop in the restaurant at our arrival would have had plenty of time to attend to our lonely two meals. . Had to send mine back to the kitchen. Pork belly cold & rubbery texture, no crackle in the crackling. Potato patty cold. Green Beans heated but still raw. Parmey dry & over cooked. Sweet potato chips cold. Wouldn’t recommend.

Staff friendly, food (breakfast) was ok but not particularly amazing, prices are ok. Despite the advertised hours, opening seem to be more like 8am than 7, we arrived at 7:45 and doors hadn't opened yet, so it took a while for food to get going. This seems to be the breakfast option for the Quest Flemington - be aware it is a bit of a walk and across a busy road that doesn't appear to have a nearby crossing - it would be a nightmare in the rain.
