Old Man Pho Southbank

Hidden behind the restaurants and the bars, the Old Man Pho in Southbank is a nice Vietnamese restaurant that even comes with Karaoke and a large outdoor seating. I love the way the building around forms a wall around the courtyard keeping the sunlight away and yet, keep the place cool. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous. We ordered the Chicken Pho and trust me, medium for $13 is the perfect serving size. I have ordered the Vermicelli Crispy Pork Noodles.

I came across this beautiful Vietnamese Restaurant right behind The famous Breslin Bar& Grill in Southbank and was always satisfied with the food that I ordered. Very neat and nice Take away packaging. Friendly staff. Their Pho is a must try. Fresh and beautiful. Their staff advised me of the use of grass-fed meat that made the quality outstanding. Beautiful Vietnamese Ice coffee and Home-made lemongrass ice tea is also their signature drinks especially during the summer time. Highly recommended

I ordered a tofu banh mi. The service was good, the bread roll was fresh and the filling was very tasty but unfortunately there wasn't much filling, it definitely needed more salad. I wasn't full afterwards. I've ordered at the QV location before and they had more filling. If there was more filling, I would have given them 5 stars.

After a long drive to the city and then a big day doing activities with our 3 kids a good meal for dinner was next on the list and after looking around for some deliciousness we came across Old Man Pho, and was so excited it give it ago. With a name like Old Man Pho and multiple other establishments in docklands and watergardens you would expect a certain level of quality and flavour BUT NO very disappointing experience. The broth was like something out of a pack of 2 minutes noodles and the meat quality was not up to par plus big chunks of vegetables to make up for weight is bad business in my opinion. Such a shame had an excellent time in Southbank but dinner was such a downer. 2/5 stars
