We had a great meal. I tried both the beef and fish burgers and both were very tasty and had lots of flavor. There are both eat in and takeaway options with comfortable seating provided. Limited outside seating and plenty of indoor seating. Wheelchair friendly entrance and indoor seating. Liquor license on site with a bar and tap beer options. Modern clean setting and plenty of windows to watch the world go by. Friendly staff that are happy to have a chat. I would recommend his place for family meals, quick takeaway or date night.

Came here on a Groupon. We Had the beer bettered barramundi grilled salmon both were great .. my only gripe is that if I was to pay full price for the size of barra like that I would actually return it!! Quality is great but mate!!! Come on!!! $7.50 for 2 x middle and index fingers?!?!? The chips they have used something like soda on it?? It’s hard. Not a fan! Great spot for a relaxing drink though!

Food is alright, they need to improve the value though. The fish was greasy. The price you pay for chips is expensive. It is not like a traditional fish and chip store, so ensure you always opt for the larger for everything because the servings are not generous. Food is fine, if we wanted fish and chips we would go here because it is the closest to us but I haven't rushed back to it, have instead made my own at home lately. The staff are nice and I would like to see the business do well but they need to lower the prices to be more in line with other fish and chip shops.

Went down to Jimmy's tonight, my salmon was perfect. I went in 5 months ago and I can honestly say Prices are incredibly lower than last time and the quality of everything was incredible. Definitely going to stick with Jimmy's from now. My hubby loved his beef burger !! Well done guys, keep it up.

Be sure to visit this clean and pleasant restaurant. One of the few fish and chip shops you can actually eat in, in style! Couple that with sensational customer service from Brian and Michael and the freshest tasting fish and chips in Melbourne and you've got yourself the perfect night out. A great place to visit before the movies at Southland or takeaway and go to the beach which are both just a few minutes drive away.

The menu selection is very small. I would normally find this ok if those things were done really well, however they weren't. Our burgers were marketed has having a brioche bun, but they were served on white sesame buns (which fell apart when you bite into it). The chips were nice, however I would have preferred a salad if there was a half decent salad selection. The Angus burger dripped liquid EVERYWHERE, indicating that it had been frozen, and was tough/overcooked. The fish burger was ok. Not amazing, but pretty good. The South Melbourne Dim Sim I ordered was still frozen in the middle though. That was pretty off putting. The things I liked were the chips, the service, and the look /atmosphere of the place. However, on a cold Melbourne day perhaps leaving all the doors open wasn't the best choice. I would probably not go back again.
