Shorty's Bar-b-q

Went here today. I’ve always heard bad things about this place but, I have to say i had the baby back ribs and they weren’t bad at all. Definitely give Flanny ribs a run for their money.I will be coming back to Shortys. Only reason I gave it a 4 star rating is because our server was terrible. Didn’t greet us at all when first arrived at our table she just stood there also had no knowledge of the menu at all someone should really get Silvia V some training asap. In accordance, food was great but they also didn’t have 4 out of the 5 things me and my fiancée originally wanted to order. When i asked why server said” we run out” lol okay.

Nice place with good food overall. Server was nice and attentive. I was seated quickly. The place is billed as texas bbq. Well I've eaten more than my fair share of texas bbq so here we gooo! Brisket: No bark to speak of. Well cooked meat that's very tender for those who prefer slightly overcooked brisket (my wife being one). Taste is where this it counts though. It tastes like a good roast beef honestly. I taste au jus juice/marinade. So while I don't consider it a great texas brisket it is an excellent sliced beef for sandwiches etc. I'd certainly eat it again. Chicken: Was cooked expertly. The skin was even crispy and you almost never see that at a BBQ place. Meat was moist. Good option over all. Sides: Fries were big thick steak fries. They weren't terribly seasoned but they were good for what they were. They were served alongside a famous coleslaw. Honestly I'm not a big fan of coleslaw. I did try it and it's okay but I didn't eat much of it. I wouldn't hold it against it though It may well be a really good coleslaw, it's just not a favorite of mine. Overall the experience was good. It's worth eating at if you're in the mood for decent BBQ and debating it.

Haven’t been to the foral locations in years since I moved from Doral. I think this is the only location that has salsa and chips for appetizers. Although today I had to send back the chips as they were stale but they Brought us freshly fried chips. The food was great l, runs, brisket and wings. Can’t go wrong.

Best BBQ ribs ever!!!! It was delicious!! I ordered brisket plate but I didn’t like as much as the bbq half back plate. Fries was amazing!! Awesome Garlic bread. All cold drinks with refill. Staff super friendly and good service. Restaurant was super nice and Christmas decorated. Wifi and aircon. Super recommended 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
