Katsuya Brickell

The food was great. No complaints about the food whatsoever. However when it came to pay the bill the waiter was too lazy to split the bill until we had to get the manager involved. And they taxed us 9% instead of the Florida state tax of only 7%. They claimed it was because they were a hotel. I don't think its legal at all, along with the automatic 18% gratuity we couldn't adjust. Go there for the food but take it to go.

Absolutely delicious & delightful atmosphere. Brussels were delicious to start as was the corn. The short rib & branzino were nothing short of amazing. I preferred the bread pudding over the chocolate dessert despite my strong affection for chocolate - both delicious, though. Rodrigo enhanced the experience excellent service. Tried the sushi topped with lobster & it was to die for! I highly recommend Katsuya & will return very soon!

You will definitely have a fabulous dining experience coming into Katsuya. Once you're seated, you start to unwind, you're surrounded by food in the shape of art and the portions are quite hefty! Ask to be seated in Zach's section and just go with this recommendations, you will be delighted. He loves what he does and it shows in his customer service. If you're up for it, try the Katsuya special as well. Yummy!

I really enjoyed my experience here. They have a great feel to the restaurant. It rips you out of Brickell and just throws you in Japan. Our server Danny was very friendly and was very patient with my vegan, gluten free friends, Thank you! Food was properly delicious. I can't wait to eat my way through this menu. love it!

Amazing sushi, great service and an ambiance perfect for a first date. The location feels exclusive and is in the hot spot of Miami. Bartenders are hilarious and energetic. Laura was funny and personable. We ordered the salmon watermelon special the sushi chef offered. Our server, Zack, was entertaining, friendly and knew how to make us feel special. He suggested the omakase menu, which did not disappoint. Service was spectacular! Cocktails were perfectly made, food was mouth watering good. The manager was nice also and suggested places to go out after. Katsuya Brickell is a must go to restaurant for anyone in Miami!

I was served by Zach, who was great, very accommodating and recommended dishes that complimented each other. He worked around our allergy which is tough for us usually. He explained which sake would pair best and did not miss a beat. We waited for nothing, timing of dishes: perfection. Zach was a pleasure and we will be back to sit with him. We had plans to have drinks at Sugar, conveniently right next door but Zach introduced us to the bartender "Bart" who was hilarious and we spent the evening at the bar. Cocktail program is great, bar area could use better seating but it is exclusive feeling. All in all, the restaurant has improved tremendously since November and we now have it on our list of must gos. Katsuya you have a fan with me. See you soon.
