Pekaditos Mi Viejo San Juan

I was here a few weeks ago with my husband and my dad. We were in Naples and decided to keep driving to Miami to find some authentic Latin food, we saw this restaurant and decided to give it a try and I'm glad that we did. The restaurant is small but cozy and the food is delicious, we had the sorullitos as an appetizer and had the mofongo as an entrée, presentation was beautiful and food was delicious. Cindy was our server and she was really attentive and awesome.

Pekaditos started as a Peruvian restaurant but now it has a fusion of Puerto Rican and Peruvian dishes. It has an amazing menu with a variety of dishes from both countries. The food is incredible, the service outstanding and the portions are generous. We have eaten there several times and have never been disappointed. The last time I was not happy with the risotto I ordered because it was too greasy and the Chef came out to talk to me and he insisted on redoing it. One of the best puertorican restaurants I have been to! I really loved this place! I like to visit a restaurant twice before posting a review, the first time the experience was excellent, the second time was magnificent! We had ceviche, mofongo with garlic shrimp and chuletas kan kan. The second time we had the fried fish with tostones and fried cheese as appetizers. I totally recommend this place, customer service is excellent, portion/price ratio is great, cleanliness is great. You won’t regret this! Come on Saturday which they have live music.

Great experience great food! Very nice ambience! Seated right away ! We ordered bacalaoitos! It was delicious! Next we had some alcapurrias, fried to a perfect texture excellent! We ordered the pastel as well , enjoyed every bite ! And for the main dish we had the mofongo w churassco. Very well prepared much flavor very tasty! Desert we had the tembleke and it was a perfect way to end the meal. Very amicable place to eat and have a nice Friday night. Definitely recommend will most definitely be returning !!
