Fuji Japanese

Fuji is my favorite! It is my go-to place for Hibachi in the Hudson Valley! I've been going for years for birthdays, celebrations, and casual dining. Extremely family oriented. The chefs are consistent , and the food is always fresh and delicious . Of course, on busier days, such as weekends and dinnertime, seating and wait times are longer, but the experience is worthwhile. If you're really hungry, try to sit at a regular dining table or at the sushi bar to avoid a long wait. Overall, I'd say the place could use some updating; it's a very busy place, and I imagine it's difficult to attend to the minor details that may be important to some customers. Oh the Yum Yum sauce , best I’ve had EVER!

Fugi is a very pretty restaurant. Good service. Very nice portions. Our food was delicious. I had a crispy duck appetizer that was like having Peking duck without the pancake. Fabulous. The age tofu was also well done. Sushi was delicious. Pricing is moderate. For 2 people it cost about $ 65 dollars, but that included 2 appetizers and 1 entree per person plus tea and one drink. You could easily spend less on a great meal here.

We came from out of town with family who raved about this place. First thing I noticed when walking in was 2 girls at the host stand texting leaning over the host stand. I then looked around..the carpet was super dirty with leaves and other things. I went into the women's bathroom and it was okay but my husband said the men's was gross. He even told the hostesses that it needed some attention. Second, we had 5 adults and 1 kid. They tried to seat us cramped into a table with a high chair inbetween another table. I'm not sure how that was going to work in their eyes. So we were put on a list and they would text us when a booth was ready. Third, we order. A friend said absolutely NO SEEDS on any of the sushi rolls. Our server wrote it down and repeated our orders and requests. We get the food and halfway through our meals we noticed there were seeds in our friends sushi! She left her glasses at home and didn't noticed, but one of us did. She could get really sick from those seeds! Besides that being a serious issue my husband's drink was terrible! We asked for the manager/owner Andy Chen who thanked us for our "comment". And offered our friend a $30 gift certificate but did not comp a thing. Our friend could have a severe reaction to those seeds..not a care in the world from him. AT ALL! He basically blamed his chef. For an,owner you would think he would do anything to make the situation right! Needless to say we will never go back again ESPECIALLY after I read other reviews about mice and roaches. NO THANK YOU! And note to the owner: A HAPPY CUSTOMER IS A REPEAT CUSTOMER!!!!

Lobster, scallops, and shrimp were incredible. The lobster especially tasted so fresh and succulent, was not disappointed at all. Portions are hefty and hearty, but still light as not to induce sickness after, so you really get more than your money’s worth. Staff was very friendly, although I did see some give another nice costumer an issue. Also, at times, it was hard to track down our waitress. Other than that, my family and I had a fabulous experience here and would frequent if we lived closer.
