Whey Station(ary)

If you’ve ever craved a sense of comfort with a sense of whimsy, The Whey Station(ary) should be placed upon your short list. Tater tots and grilled cheese sandwiches are the main attractions, and for good reason - they are lip-smacking and indulgent! Pictured is The Shorty, which is short ribs wrapped in a five cheese blend, garnished with garlic aioli and caramelized onions, which was astoundingly good! The cook made certain to put heaping helpings of each ingredient and then crisped all of the extra cheese that melted over the sides. It was like being a kid on a ditch day at home with mom combined with the feeling of a summer weekend as an adult. Also seen here is the Avomelt, guacamole, bacon, and more garlic aioli. Incredible! The tater tots were uniformly crisp, as well. Unique beers were on tap, the restaurant was safely spaced, and the service was incredibly attentive. Bravo! See you again and SOON!

Got a notification on my phone from Google Maps that I should try this place. Ended up going with a co-worker and wasn't disappointed. Got the Barlow with Cheese Bacon Tons and Avery soda and it was delicious. Great location and atmosphere. The place has a wheelchair accessible entrance and seating, not sure about the bathroom since I didn't need to use it. Can't wait to go back!

I'm always up for a good grilled cheese and this place did not disappoint! It's nothing fancy but just what I wanted. Chill environment. A variety of grilled cheese options - I loved the Avomelt! The Raclette with tater tots is not worth it for $14. I don't feel like it was that much and you can get a side of tater tots with your sandwich. I'm not local, but I look forward to returning here next time I'm in town!
