Luna's Pizzeria & Italian Grill

A day of many drinks and cheesesteaks with Amigo Dan and wingman Eric continued at Luna’s. We took our Luna Special Steak to Elk River Brewing because we want to continue to drink. This cheesesteak looked good. It had too much going on. It came with green peppers and it had a lot of green peppers. Worse, the green peppers didn’t spend much time on the grill. You can see a good amount of cheese in the pictures. In the end, this was a lot of strong flavors that didn't want to work together.

Have had Lunas pizza’s previously and always thought they were great. Tonight we decided to ordered for take out and inquired of cauliflower crust. Was told it only comes in a LG. Which was what we wanted.paid and was handed a small box. When I asked one of the guys said yes this is large for cauliflower. This ‘large’ was a 12” pizza. No where on there menu or when I inquired did it indicated a large cauliflower was smaller compared to there normal pizza sizes. A large is a large. When I questioned this and said I was not informed of the change in lg sizes & as to compare to the normal large box, he said ‘I don’t know what to tell you, this is a large’. Menu and staff needs to make it clear. This small pizza was not worth $20. Also that there was 6 employees squished behind the counter and none of those working with food had gloves on. Very disappointed!

My husband and I went there for dinner, they had quite a bit of staff working and standing around we went to order a bottle of wine and the girl didn’t ask which one that we wanted out of the Muscato selection, she was very nice young girl but not educated in what was on the menu the lights kept flickering High to low, we had to wait over 40 minutes for our dinner entrée they said that they were busy in the back in the shipment came in they were not prepared for a Saturday night, excuse after excuse for the entire meal and we ordered a different drink she had to wait for someone that could actually make the drink because she was under age I noticed that the manager the tall slender guy was more busy and chatting with the girls instead of servicing the tables and jumping in to really truly help he was doing very minimal. I asked to speak with him when we were paying the bill and getting ready to leave and he made an excuse about a delivery coming in the back being backed up.This is a newer restaurant to the area of Middletown he clearly is not running it correctly a manager should roll up his sleeves and jumping don’t make excuses make it happen he was more worried about what the girls are doing chatting about everything we were right by the door where the drinks are being made we could hear the entire conversation’s customer service definitely was not his number one. The food was very good service very poor Management Poor is an understatement. If we ever go back I’ll ask ahead of time if they are backed up before I waste my time and money with bad service again. My advice train your staff on what’s on your menu alert customers ahead of time that you were going to be beyond 30 minutes backed up and for gods sake if you’re going to sell alcohol have more people available of age to make them.
