Tao Palace

This has to be the nicest looking Chinese restaurant I've ever been to. Very beautiful, relaxing, and clean. The food is wonderful, I ordered the chicken lo mien (my usual choice) and it was loaded with the good stuff like broccoli, carrots, egg. The service was very fast and friends, I think we were the only people there at the time. If I'm ever in Midland I will 100% eat here again.

Very nice remodel and update! Improved menu has every thing you want from a Chinese restaurant. The servers were very attentive even though I asked for my broccoli extra cooked or soft and he couldn't understand anything I was saying! My advice, just stick to the menu letters and numbers lol! I didn't have any sushi, even though the bar was very nice. I had chicken and broccoli, fried rice, sea weed salad and chicken wings. Every thing was hot and fresh and I will come back!

There really isn't any "Fusion" about this place. I should have known to walk away when there were only 2 other people eating here on a thursday night at dinner time. There is no ambiance, which would be ok, but they don't maintain the restaurant. The vinyl on my booth was totally worn out. The tables are not clean, nor was the carpeting still like is a old buffet to me <taste of china> The food was VERY greasy, to the point of being nasty. All of the meat was tough, and greasy as well, and the Service is ok but fish is not fresh. Sushi is supposed to have no odor at all. and tuna color is dark There are a LOT of chinese or sushi restaurants in midland . I highly suggest try the fujiyama next to mall . dont spend money on low quality food.

Showed up around 7pm. Had issues with whether or not my friend could use the restroom. The waitress was very "pushy" at first. In a 5 min span, maybe from the moment i sat down, she came by the table 4 times to see if i was ready to order. Had to order an appetizer just to have a few moments to really look at the menu. My friend orders a sweet tea, only to get an unsweet tea. Then when we tried to exchange the tea for a coke they apparently did not have anything on the menu to offer, although they did have a dr pepper which was not on the menu. She brings out the new drink only to half slam it on the table. The drink glass was so full of ice the drink itself was gone in jyst a few sips. Then, as i watch the waitress tend to one of the only 5 other tables she grabs their empty glasses to be refilled and tries to completely ignore my table and the needed refill. The waitress seemed like she was trying to rush us out the door after that. I highly suggest that if you want good chinese food, go somewhere else for better service.
