Cafe Di Mondo

We dined here for breakfast, while the food is very good and reasonably priced we were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the cafe, tables were very sticky and chairs were quite dirty as well. Floor looked like it hadn't been swept or washed for a while. Its a shame as we have dined here before and feel that the cafe is not as well maintained as it was previously.

This morning my hubby and I went to mondos midland for brekky. We can't count how many times in last 9 years we've done this. We haven't been for a couple of months and today we were very very dissapointed. As usual we ordered our favourite omletes with coffee. Girl at counter very friendly as they always are. Coffee came was nice. Hubby's omlete came and he was so so dissapointed. It was more like a pancake with overcooked bacon bits and onion onside the sides weren't even sealed and no melted cheese in sight. NEVER one to complain he actually took it back to counter after a couple of bites. And was told very very rudely this is how we always make our omletes, and as its the first time ours has been so he asked for his money back. As mine came out the same it was snatched off me by a very unruly assistant telling me "she's worked there for ten years and that was how we make our omletes" I tried to tell her that in 9yrs we'd never received one like it and she shoved my money at me and said "well that's it" and stomped off. Not impressed, very dissapointed, and sorry for her if that's her customer service. She embarrassed herself raving like that in front of other customers who questioned us outside after as to what happened. We won't be going back there. Happily tho we found another cafe who did a lovely omlete and wasn't far away at all. Great shame.
