Dickey's Barbecue Pit

I want to give this place more stars but I can only give 2 because of the service, or the LACK OF SERVICE. We love bbq, and have had Dickeys before, but we will be very reluctant to come back. Disinterested employees, we were the only people in 'line' and they didn't even acknowledge us for 5 minutes at least, tables dirty, cold food and NO SAUCE. We asked multiple times for them to bring some out, and it took 15 minutes before someone even cared to refill the sauce containers. Our already cold food was even colder by the time we could 'enjoy' it with their bbq sauce (which we had go put in a drink cup because they hadn't/wouldn't restock their little sauce cups). Very sadly disappointed with this visit.

I used to enjoy eating here on a weekly basis. Every place has their issues but the last 3 times I've been it has gone down hill. I asked for sliced brisket and got a chunk of dry meat. Ribs have been tough and chewy. Quality has gone out the window. Best thing they have is the free ice cream when you leave.

Now I’m a fan dickeys except for this location. I wanted to order some food and waited for the guy to take, literally standing in front of the guy and totally blows me off to take care of some online for 10 minutes straight. The guy didn’t even look me in the eye and/or acknowledge me or told to wait a few minutes so I had settle for Culver’s! Quite disappointed! In a way you could look at this inconclusive since I didn’t get a chance taste how good or bad the food is in this location. I hate giving business bad reviews as I am top ten google reviewers and always give a fair rating but ignoring customers is the number 1 no-no in business plain and simple!

Tha brisket sandwich was good tasting and they put plenty on the sandwich waffle fries were hot but could have cooked a bit longer All in all very good A month or 2 later, Edit 5/16/22: I'm not sure what if going on with Dickey's. I went there for lunch, the first problem: I was told the fryer was down because it needed cleaning! At lunch time? I asked why they didn't clean it before lunch time, they didn't have an answer. Next, I was told the menu that was showing was not the actual price that was going To be rung up at the till. All plates are going to ring up $1.00 more than was showing on the menu! I asked him if this is some sort of scam? The Employee that seemed to be in charge said if I didn't like it I could call corporate. Not impressed at all! I probably won't be back.

Changing from 5 to 2 stars. Went after 12:30 and most the food was not ready. Food was cold and yet burnt. Over this last year the place has gotten a lot worse. Even the free ice cream cones were old and stale and the ice cream a sugar sludge. Maybe they can turn it around, but they need twice as much staff. Only 2 people for lunch time rush. No wonder none of their prep work was done.

I was craving BBQ...... Worst decision ever!!! The meat was tender but tasteless and over cooked. The meat was mushy. They don't give you enough sauce for anything. The beans are just dumped out the can. There is no effort in making them worth eating. I threw my whole meal in the garbage. The only thing that was actually worth eating was the fried okra. One place I will not ever spend money at again. And didn't want to give it one star. Minot North Dakota is not a thing.
