Colossus Of Rhodes

4.5/5 - Service is excellent in a friendly way. A bit laidback like true Greek style. This is not fine dining, but still an upscale experience. They have been around 20+ years doing this and I've been going randomly since 2000 or so. Recommend reservations but I walked in at Tuesday dinner. They have a cute patio on the street side of Lakeshore, but it’s fenced in. Dining inside is just as good. Had a great vibe and was busy. Ordered 5 mezes (appetizers): 1) Greek Salad - 2-3 ppl can share classic and tasty - no onions almost if that helps 2) Saganaki - flaming fried cheese - classic dish if you never tried before. Squish extra lemon on your slice before eating each piece 3) Shrimp -Feta Tomato - nice dish. If you love Shrimp, get it. If not, pass. 4) Octopus- well grilled, meaty and served with some cherry tomatoes and olives. Add lemon. If you like octopus, a must get. 5) Feta Fries - 90% sure they hand cut their own fries. That alone makes them crunchy and delicious. Would order fries every time even though they have great lemon potatoes. Give it a try if you like well done Greek.

We went in at about 1 pm Saturday. Small patio so limited seating. Excellent service right from the time you walk in. We tried different main courses and all of them were fabulous. The staff is excellent and do not exert any pressure on you to finish early cos there are fewer tables. They let you be to have a leisurely meal. The service, the food and the location are why I give it 5 stars and would go back again.

If you are in Mississauga and craving Greek food you gotta hit up Colossus. It's amazing. We've been coming here for well over a decade however didn't realize they moved next door and they occupy even more space now...plus a significantly better patio too! Interior is very nice and spacious. The entrance was a bit confusing as we thought it was the takeout/Uber/SkiptheDishes entrance because all we saw was the kitchen. Turns out that is their entrance which was kinda cool walk through and see the cooks doing their thing. Today we had the classic Chicken Souvlaki Pita and Veggie Pita with salad and fries. Can't go wrong with the classics. Great service overall. If you've not been you must go to the Port Credit location.

A classic lakeshore spot to the neighborhood locals but a true hidden gem for people visiting Port Credit. Almost everything is made in house fresh, they source only quality ingredients (supporting local farmers) and the rest is shipped in fresh from Greece (🤌) Jimmy & Andrew S are two amazing guys who will do everything possible to make your meal 10/10! (If you’re at the bar don’t hesitate to ask to have your local news station or sport match put on the tele)

It's been awhile since we visited Colossus, since the pandemic hit and it was great to see them again in their new location ( just next door) and again it was it another great experience only better. Not only the best menu offered at a reasonable price as always, and now the new venue only enhanced the experience. All the best to Jimmy and his staff who delivered a great meal now in a very charming ambience. Fantastic!
