Denny's

While the food was adequate, there was a very longgg wait after seating before our group received our food after ordering on a Sunday afternoon. Despite the restaurant not being too crowded, we waited for almost an hour and was not notified that there would be this long wait (due to only one person working in the back kitchen). Our server was friendly and did her best in the situation. The food itself was decent breakfast food.

We went to this Dennys for the first time. Seems to need some renovations as the place looks like it hasn't been upgraded in years. Very dark browns which makes it feel dark. We asked to be seated by the window. Food was good and service was good too. I'd probably go to a more open and cheerful location where there is more light.

Went here with my fiance for breakfast and was surprisingly disappointed. Note that we've been to other Denny's locations and this one may currently be the worst. First, I'll stwrt with the positive. The food is pretty good and is up to standard with other Denny's quality, quite decent, but nothing compared to your local diner. Now, the bad.This location is horribly understaffed. This Denny's rides on the coattails of being physically located near the hotel or else people would not wait. Came here twice within the span of a week because thought it would be better the second time around, but expect wait times of between twenty to thirty minutes for your order and between thirty minutes to an hour for your food. Keep in mind, the chef worked his magic and the food came out great and the service was quite friendly, but the owner needs to hire more than just one chef and a couple of waiting staff, especially for such a busy location. Unfortunately, this plea will fall on deaf ears and they will likely continue overworking their workers, but overall unless you want to wait an hour and a half for food and service, just go somewhere else. You can literally go to almost any other diner in the GTA and get higher quality food at a better price with faster service. Overall, I can't recommend, in fact, I recommend to stay away until they fix their logistical issues.

Ordered the Cinnamon Roll Pancake Breakfast combo with 1 extra scrambled egg & a Oreo Milkshake! The pancakes were really good & sweet. I was afraid of them being insanely sweet (like the ones in the US), but they had just the right amount of sweetness to them which made them perfect. As for the combo portion, I feel like they could of have a little bit more in terms of the hash brown & maybe the eggs, but they were both great & the bacon was cooked perfectly. The Oreo milkshake was also really good! I was a little timid when it came to my first sip since Oreo milkshakes are either a hit or miss, but this one was really good! Will definitely have all of this again soon!

To start with, this was my first time dining at a Dennys so needless to say I was excited and looking forward to it. After being seated and placing our order we waited about 35 to 40 minutes, which seemed abit long for a simple breakfast when they weren't overly busy at that time. I ordered the cookie dough pancake breakfast and I'm not really sure that's what I got, they tasted more like regular chocolate chip pancakes and there was no cream cheese spread drizzled on it like the pictures showed. Upon mentioning this the server said she would bring me the included blueberry syrup and I had to correct her that it was cream cheese. It came to our table in a small plastic sauce container enough for a thin spread on each pancake. Finally when it came time to pay, I had 3 separate $10 gift cards given to me at a previous date from a Sandman hotel. When trying to use those they received an error saying the cards were erroneous. After 5 minutes of trying they told me I had to go back to the sandman hotel and get new cards. Luckily the attached Sandman hotel honoured my gift cards (despite being issued at another location a few months prior) and I returned to the restaurant. After returning with the working cards the server rung up my new total and apparently a $35.10 bill, when discounted with three $10 gift cards comes to a total of $15.10. After explaining the complexities of math and showing the staff member that 35.10 - (10 x 3) = $5.10, she finally adjusted it to the proper total. So needless to say I truly hope that this isn't a Denny's wide issue and just location specific, that being said I will be hesitant when I choose where to get breakfast on my next trip. ....but I mean the scrambled eggs were ok.

If you like being ignored this place might be for you! Had to wait too long to be seated then no one came to take the order. We waited a good 10 minutes; nothing. We then asked the two workers busily preparing cutlery if we could order, the disinterested response was unintelligible words and nothing! So we left and are unlikely to return!
