Affys Premium Grill

Tried it 3 years ago or so and it was amazing. Not sure but this time we went and it was a disappointment. We only went here since all other restaurants were fully booked on a Friday night. The food took a long time to come though they were not that crazy busy. Server were nice and had a beautiful smile. The food we had unfortunately was bad and we didn’t finish or maybe we order the wrong thing. We ordered poutine as appetizer and it was the only good thing that we finished.. rest is a no no. The drinks were nice and we enjoyed them.

My new favorite grill and steak joint. Wish it was closer! I have been here a few times before giving the review and each time it has been amazing. Please try the spicy Mexican antojitos they are to die for from the appetizer list. Their rib eye steak, stuffed chicken, back ribs were all fabulous. The service is great, the sitting is nice and big. Another great halal place! Please open a branch in Durham:).

Went here after a long time (4-5 years) and was pleasantly surprised. Really good food and service. Everything was fresh, they have a pretty unique menu as far as Halal restaurants go, and the staff were very courteous. Tasted delicious, and while it is expensive, I wouldn't say it is overpriced. Will come back here!

I love this place! It honestly is a hidden gem. I discovered it with my friend as we were looking for halal restaurant in our area. It gets busier in the evening so I would suggest going in the afternoon. The service is usually always excellent but I noticed that in the evening it's so-so. My favourite meal to order is the Chicken Parmigiana (second picture). The bowl is so filling and is more than enough. Their mashed potato is pretty good too. The stuffed chicken is good too but I found that it burnt at the bottom 2/3 times - could easily be rectified if brought up. Clean, tasty, and excellent!

Good spot for steak and other grill items. This used to be called Affys a few years ago. Menu is pretty similar to what it was when I tried it as Affys. Highlights: Sizzlers and other beef entrées are great. Jalepeno poppers are fantastic! Avoid the chicken sandwiches as it is less than flavourful. Felt as if I was eating a frozen chicken burger from the grocery store. The milkshake was another less than stellar experience. Service is great so I will likely come back.

Visited after getting high recommendation. For Individual orders only, no menu for family. If you are ok with their highly priced dishes then definitely go there. Freshly prepared items. Nice hosts. Remember, 18% forced gratuity on 5 or more guests. Minimum tip start from 15%. So calculate everything before going there. Should reprint their menu in simple fonts, very annoyed. Tables were full of scratches, they should atleast use sometimes to cover it.

From Affay's to Jaffay's: we (the family) didn't find much courage to try new management at Jaffay's since we heard the change. Finally after 3+ years we wanted to try Jaffay's today. Same location, same interior but first thing we noticed NO line or waiting time which was a big surprise for us, especially on the weekend and that too, at dinner time as at Affay's we have never been lucky enough to had an empty table. We were reviewing our decision either to go for dinner or no so we asked the serveuse who is the chef? She stated that the chef is still from old management and was not replaced. After her assurance we decided,ok let's give it a try. In dinning area there were only 2 families when we came in and rest of the area was totally empty and later 3 other families joined. -We ordered- •Beef Back ribs half rack 6+/5 •stuffed chicken 3/5 •New york stakes 3/5 ▪︎crispy finger fish 4/5 with sides of Mash Potatoes, Fries,Vegetables & Ceaser Salad. Beef rack was good, tender and yummy that we ordered another one and every one was envious for not ordering it. Brittany, Our table Serveuse, was super helpful and cheerful.
