The Chicken Barn

The last few times we've been here they've forgotten part of our order. This is one of the only restaurants I know of that doesn't give you something extra to make it worth your drive back to pick up your missing item. This time when I drove back to pick up my missing cole slaw it wasn't filled all the way up. When I pay this much for food I expect a good experience. Honestly, accidents happen but they shouldn't be at the cost of the customer.

Usually they serve good chicken. I always ask for my chicken to be cooked fresh and they do it for me. Sometimes the chicken breasts are a bit on the tough side. I like the dark meat better. They changed the way they make the potato wedges. The old way was a lot better. Please go back to the old way.

I got a 10-piece nugget meal everything was very hot and fresh except the chicken nuggets. I tried one and it was barely warm and the breading was a little bit soggy.I took the bag of chicken in and ask for them to replace it. the girl took the bag squished the chicken through the bag, said it was warm, handed it back to me and said she wasn't going to waste product by giving me something different when I'm just going to get the same product that's in the warmer. The other kid running it said he would take one out of the warmer and let me try it to see if it was any warmer than the chicken they had served me if that would make me happy. Not fresh

I am increasingly inclined to give up on this establishment. The food is still very much to my liking but for the price I would expect a higher rate of correct orders. I would especially expect a lower incidence or missing items which I have paid for. As it stands it has been months since I have received a correct order. High staff turnover and inexperience no longer begins to justify these levels of incompetence. This fault lays squarely at the feet of ownership and management.

Tried this place off a recommendation from a friend. Maybe I just had a bad experience. One nugget was very hard and chewy. Potato wedges were good but nothing special for me. Nothing against my friend but I'd go to SaveMart for generic chicken nuggets and potato wedges and save some money. The people serving us were very nice (went through the drive through) and the valley ranch sauce was good hence 2 stars.

Sauces are a DISASTER! Ranch is sugary sweet - yuck! BBQ sauce is strong & awful. Manager: Please taste-test and get some sauce that tastes good. The gravy on the mashed potatoes tasted excellent, but there was barely any on the mashed potatoes. The Pepsi tasted PERFECT. EXCELLENT carbonation and very satisfying on a hot day. The mac n' cheese was a little better than ok. The spuds would have been good with some decent sauce like a slightly sour/ slightly salty ranch (not sweet). The chicken sandwich was just barely ok. The corn had a moderate garlic smell & taste in the spices. I usually don't like garlic, but this was fine. They don't have cornbread. The guys working behind the counter & at the drive-thru window were super cool and nice. They were very professional and competent. I saw people working hard in the kitchen. $7.49 is a good value for their daily special. I got a chicken filet sandwich, side & drink for $7.49.
