Dragonfly Tea Room

I have been in the hospitality industry for 10+ years and the service from the owner was very disappointing. I took a group of senior citizens for a high tea and her unwelcoming and "annoyed" attitude made everyone feel very uncomfortable. We had made reservations several weeks in advance and she knew we were coming with a group of 10. When we got there they had a table set for us which was nice, but the first thing she said to us was that the whole table had to pick one or two types of teas and everyone would have to share it because "it takes too long to brew everyone their own tea." We paid $30 per person and the menu clearly stated that each person can pick their own tea. She clearly she just didn't want to accommodate us, and her poor attitude reflected that for the rest of our time there. On a positive note, the other server was nice and accommodating to our group, and the food and tea was good but it was really expensive for small portions. The inside was decorated cute and it had a nice ambience, but the owner ruined the whole experience for us and we wont be going back. Maybe you'll have better luck!

This is a good place but there are hurdles you must jump through in advance. You need a reservation, and when you make one you also have to give credit card info. Then you are on the hook to pay for anyone who doesn't show up. And it is not an inexpensive place. There are rules that pop up on their website, so read them before you sign up. (After you read them, you might decide this place isn't for you.) I've been here 3 times, always for some type of preplanned party. Once you clear all the hurdles and you are seated and being served, it is pretty good.

My daughter celebrated her 13th birthday here with 3 of her best friends. It was such a darling little place! They loved the atmosphere, teas, and food. The hostess was very attentive and accommodating to our party. I was honestly worried about the other comments saying negative things about this place. But we didn't run into any issues at all! Thank you for hosting such a cute little party for my daughter :)
