Yong Choon Chinese Restaurant

I was a bit worried about going here after reading some of the reviews but forged ahead anyway and I was nicely surprised. We arrived on a wet cold night and inside was nice and warm just like the lady at the front who served us. The food options were plentiful and very tasty, the only downside was that I wasn't able to sample everything as I was simply too full 😁. I definitely recommend this restaurant if you want lovely tasty food with a comfortable atmosphere. We will definitely return.

I went on a Friday at 5:30pm and it was pretty empty, staff was nice and food was hot fresh and crispy. Complementary water and casual environment. The decor is pretty average but I have no complaints about cleanliness. There's a range of food including honey chicken, Singapore noodles, sweet and sour pork, beef and black bean, chips, crab sticks, spring rolls, fresh prawns, fried rice etc etc. Also an array of fresh fruit, cream, jelly and biscuits.

The food is not nice. Special fried rice had defrosted prawn just sat on top of it, not even cooked with the rice. Also got sweet and sour pork: it smelt absolutely Horrod! It smelt like hot dog food! I tasted it and it just reminded me of freezer burn! I couldn’t eat it, I was scared I’d get sick! Biggest waste of money ever!
