Thoroughly enjoyed our first quiz night. Very pleasant lady quizzer, ran on time, lots of laughter - a pity there were so few teams, but that not the fault of the lovely, cozy, old hostelry. Service great.

Visited this pub with a group of friends whilst staying in Monmouth for the night.
Staff were very friendly and reasonable prices for the drinks on offer.
As we were a large group we tried to keep ourselves to one section rather than encroaching on the regular punters. Staff were very happy to have us which was nice compared to other areas.
Would recommend this venue if you are in the area and want a nice place to relax and have a drink

Traditional old pub with a small selection of good real ale. Friendly welcoming staff. It has a beer garden and a games room with darts and pool. Regular live music. Lacks anywhere to park cycles, but otherwise recommended.
