Fabulous pop up dining. Best cheese for miles. Right up there with the best French artisan cheese. Wonderful setting and best cheese board for quite a while. Very best Welsh pastures can offer. So good we could have kept going. Just spent two weeks in France and this cheeseboard beats them hands down. Thank Tom and Co. for a wonderful evening. Ps Rose was very good.

Monmouth is full of coffee shops, but the best, by far, is Marches with outstanding coffee from a local roaster and a beautiful courtyard garden. The deli has a lot of local produce in the small space available with a wide range of cheese, gin, beer and cider (amongst many other things). The staff are helpful and highly knowledgeable.

A little gem in the middle of Monmouth. If you like small independent cafes selling local produce then this is the place for you. We enjoyed cheeseboards, mixed cheese & meat platter, and a toast, followed by lovely cake and coffees. The garden was delightful, occasionally spoiled by the Italian 'opera' blasting from the loudspeakers next door. The food was excellent, the service warm and professional, and the prices reasonable. A lovely find and helped me stay away from high-street chain cafes.
