Montauk Bake Shoppe Limited

The food is excellent, but you must stay open minded to receiving and enjoying a meal other than what you what you ordered. This morning, I missed out on the bacon in my sandwich, but my daughter was surprised with a totally different bagel than she ordered. Fortunately, it was in her wheelhouse of favorite bagels. To be fair, it could be that COVID is causing a deterioration in the ability to properly take and execute simple food orders. I’ll check back in and see if they can get the orders right. When the order is wrong, it’s annoying. Came back a year later and it’s a little better you just have to be OK with getting cheese or cream cheese on everything. No matter what they’re gonna add the cheese.

So many tasty options here! We had breakfast wrap & sandwich and even went back another day to try another option. Even with a mixup on someone taking our order, they were so kind and even gave us a donut while we waited. My wife has been going here for years and I’m looking forward to going back again.

This gem of a bake shop has some of the BEST cookies and pastries I’ve ever had. Their rainbow cookies are particularly fantastic - really thick pieces, with a good amount of jelly between each layer. Their linzer tart and black & white cookie are incredible as well - a perfect balance of chewy and firm :) And don’t get me started on their sandwiches! The focaccia bread used is delicious, and the size of the sandwiches are massive!
