Goat Haus Biergarten

Great service and decent food. The beer selection was not expansive. However, all the beers on tap were regional craft beers. My burger was a little meat loafy, but tasty. Fries seem to be hand cut. The view of downtown was really nice. We sat in the front yard under a nice shady tree. I would definitely come back to this place.

Being from out of town, we were unaware this was their first day opening after the Covid shut down. The food was absolutely amazingly delicious!!! The atmosphere was outstanding!! We actually had an entire room to ourselves!! Our server, Jason, was outstanding! I had the hash brown casserole, sausage and grits. The grits were the absolute best I have ever had in my life!! I was looking around for a refill ..... which the owner, James, made sure I had in no time! My fiancee had biscuits and gravy with sausage on the side and James also provided more gravy when requested. We are returning to Montgomery in a few weeks and we will be returning!!

This well-maintained original house-turned-bar is artistically decorated with authentic old details and serves great food and beer. We were so delighted with the personable staff and owner who were fountains of knowledge about Montgomery’s history. It was a highlight of our day, and we’re excited to hear of the future addition of actual goats!
