The Bagel House

I was in the area earlier on the weekend and having passed by before, I thought I'd stop in to check it out. Interesting little shop in the bottom of a house. I went with two, bacon, egg, and cheese bagels with two hash browns. It was a little busy so it took some time, but the staff was very friendly. Got home to eat and thought everything was fine. Nice looking egg, a little light on the bacon (maybe two, relatively thin slices, so like one per half of sandwich.) Hash brown was your standard patty, though a little underdone in the center. Totally cooked, but just very light. I see people mentioning microwaving, so I'm not sure how it was all cooked. Bagel was nice and chewy. I'd say overall it's ok.

Was super hangry heading out for a breakfast sandwich this morning, and really needed something to perk me up. So my partner and I stopped at The Bagel House. After eating our bagel sandwich, we were less than satisfied. The meat was a bit odd, with lots of sage and the bagels were a little dry. I was hoping for something a little more artisan. The workers were friendly and they had cute seating outside. They also had rainbow bagels which were exciting to me. All in all, we probably won’t be back.

I was extremely disappointed to find they have closed the outside service window. Making it worse their website is down for over a week making it difficult to order. I arrived yesterday afternoon. They were loading a car parked in front and the gentleman said "they will help you inside". I wasn't particularly interested in going inside and when I went to the door a customer exited without a mask. So, guess what? I didn't go in - I left. When I walked past the owner (who had spoken to me) he didn't ask why. I don't understand, they had such a great system and wonderful bagels but I'll find another place. :(
