We hiked up the Mont (so beautiful) and we wanted Italian and we found BIS. Wow! Both the service and food are excellent. I had the pasta with Lamb Meat Sauce with a glass of the Ripasso… Devine! The picture you see below is the seafood linguini… sooo good! If you’re looking for outstanding Italian this IS the place.

A nice place with its own charm and charisma. I took someone special there for her birthday and it was really worth it. The food was amazing, the service was very good - our waiter was friendly and attentive as well as other staff we saw. I loved the final touch of walnuts after the food. One thing I didn't appreciate was that the waiter panicked a bit when I asked for a candle on a dessert (I wasn't asking for a free dessert, just a candle), the waiter thought I was asking for a free desert and made sure I knew it wasn't "free", which I was not even asking for - considering I paid a bill of around 300$ for 2 people, I would have thought such a thing should not even be brought up (if it was my restaurant I wouldn't even have told the client that the dessert was not free). However, seeing how nice the waiter was, I can only imagine that he did not have any authority to even offer a free 8$ dessert (whether client asks for it or not), which is sad for such a high end restaurant.

What an amazing experience! My wife and I went here for our 5 year anniversary (we didn’t tell anyone working). Everything couldn’t have gone better. The ambiance was just right, enough space between tables to not feel crowded. I have to give a special shout out to all working here because we really felt taken care of. Everyone was attentive to clearing old cutlery and glasses and quickly getting us fresh drinks. The food was everything you should want out of a classic Italian restaurant. I will make one suggestion, bring an appetite if you order the seafood pasta. There is a whole freakin’ lobster in there! Also, the shrimp is almost the size of a fist. Be prepared! We can’t wait to come back next time we are in Montreal.
