If you’re ready to treat yourself to a good night out, Gibbys is the place. For a while now, i wanted to try it out. I finally crack and take a reservation. I would suggest to book early on if you are planning to dine on a weekend. It was my first time there and service was perfect. The waitress gave me and my friend a warm welcome and made us feel comfortable. She gave us a lot of her favorite combo as we were first timer there. The ambiance is very classy and chic. I ordered the oysters Rockefeller, Sirloin steak and a dessert. Everything came out perfect. The cheese sauce that accompanied the salad was excellent. The steak is one of best quality I’ve had so far in a restaurant. Overall, Gibbys is a must and a classic place to try for a special occasion:)))

If you're planning to visit, make sure to make a reservation as it is extremely busy here and always full. The French onion soup was super flavourful and made us tempted to order a second after the spoonful. Service was super attentive and always dropped by to check on us to make sure everything was great.

Gibby's has been around for a long time, and for good reason. I grew up in Montreal and frequently visited with my family. Recently returned there with my fiance, and it's still as amazing as I remember. It's a must go every time I'm in town. Their steaks are always perfection and you can't beat fresh east coast oysters, but the one item I always get every time I'm there is their jalapeno sirloin sausages.

So happy to leave this review. My boyfriend and I had a reservation at Gibby’s and it was such an experience. We arrived, they were extremely busy and I think reservations weren’t organized too well, but nonetheless, we were seated and greated by our server Christine. She was incredible, fast, busy, hustling but really incredible. Definitely ask for her service! The food was amazing. Very large portions. Pricey but worth it.. well done Gibby’s. Will absolutely recommend it as the best steakhouse in Montreal.

Yes, it is pricy but it is probably the best steak in Montreal by far. Service is always impeccable. It can feel crowded so try to go early if you prefer a quieter environment. If someone in your party is celebrating a birthday or special occasion, mention it in the reservation, they will make you feel special. It is located in a historical building so unfortunately the restrooms are not very accessible, there are stairs.
