Very hit or miss restaurant. The salt and pepper tofu is the best I have ever had and the sesame beef and general tso's chicken tasted great but it was all downhill from there. The beef and broccoli was chewy and bland, the lemon chicken was way too sweet and the noodle dishes ( pad Thai and Singapore noodles) were horrible. Overcooked, fluorescent sauces with very artificial flavours. Also the menu comes in a folder because of how large it is. Never a good sign.

The food here was soooo bad. The dumpling had bad smell. It was the worst dumpling in my life. I sincerely recommend you not to visit here. Also, I was disappointed with their service. It was a terrible experience. We are not Chinese and we can't speak it, but they didn't care and just spoke in Chinese.

The worst of the worst ever Chinese dim sum I ever had in my life. If there is a negative star available, I would have given it a negative score. We arrived in Chinatown on our 3rd day of Montreal vacation. Based on the reviews on Google and some online magazine's recommendations, I just picked this 3.9 stars dim sum restaurant. I did not feel right the moment I walked inside, it's not busy at all at 1030 am, then I knew I made a huge mistake because I knew right away, the food I was going to order will not be fresh, as a Chinese person myself, I know too well how these restaurants run - no waste, reheat the left overs. BUT we stick to our guts and order 8 dishes, the first dish that came out was a deep fried taro root, completely COLD, the waitress said that they fried it in the morning ???? I mean I am here to eat fresh dim sum, not what u fried 3 hours ago. The sticky rice wrap was barely warm, dry, no taste, the beef rice wrap was also barely heated, not even hot, the steam beef ball was the absolute day old, dry, dark, mushy, and tasted so bad that we did not even bother to eat it. The only hot dish we had was the pan fried shrimp egg plant, and the sauce had no taste. By the time we paid our bills, the waitress DEMANDed a 15% tip. We paid what was needed and walked right out. I do not understand how a restaurant can still be in business while serving these cold dim sum to customers. Don't bother going to dim sum in Montreal, the Best places are in Richmond, BC, and Markham, Ont.

The food was pretty good in general from the dim sum offerings. High marks for the bean curd and beef ribs, super delicious! The rest was a little rough around the edges compared to the places I frequent but all nicely flavoured. However, service is nonexistent. Outside of the people with the carts who were trying, no other person even approached the table to offer anything other than the tea dropped when we sat. We had to wave someone down and they seemed inconvenienced by us being thirsty. Anyhow, end of the meal we paid cash and left a poor tip for virtually no service. A waiter came over (for the first time in hour and a half) and berated us for not leaving a larger tip and was insisting we put more down. Pretty embarrassing all around. I am normally very generous as I work in this industry too, but the last time I checked, a tip is subjective to the level of service offered and there wasn't any. The owner/manager watched it all go down but couldn't be bothered to ask why his staff were shaking down customers because they didn't do their job. Pretty poor form.

Located right in the hearty of Chinatown, this dim sum restaurant is quite hard to find. It's tucked inside a mall just up the stairs in the far back of the floor it's on. Just look for all the stacks of chairs piled at the top of the stairs and follow that hall to the end.
This is one of the fee restaurants that still serves dim sum on carts. Luckily you won't have to fight anyone for the best basket since it's not too busy. You'll find the common selection of dim sum here. They also have a menu of you prefer to read through your options.
This place feels a little like a hole in the wall but their food is decent. Food starts at $4 and goes up depending on what you order. Most items are at least $5 though.
Service is quick and friendly and you can be in and out in an hour if you need to hurry.

This place used to be great many years ago, but my family's last few visits for dim sum have been appalling. The quality of the food has diminished, the sizes of the servings are smaller, the prices are higher and the service is absolutely atrocious.
In addition to having to flag down the trollies because they kept passing our table, when we left we were yelled at because the waiter found the tip to be unsuitable.
We were so caught off guard and embarrassed that we tipped him more and he still wasn't happy. We ended up tipping 22% just to quiet him down so we could leave with some dignity. It was shocking, uncalled for and COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL.
We went to dim sum for my mom's birthday and the service ruined our experience. The only reason we didn’t say anything to the waiter is because we didn’t want to ruin my mom's day. We haven't been to many restaurants since COVID-19 and this was a huge disappointment.
We are not alone in this experience -- read some of the other reviews.
After going to this place for 10+ years, we will never ever set foot in this restaurant again.

Went here for brunch as our first official meal in Montreal and was pretty disappointed. We were served lukewarm tea and the first few dishes were lukewarm too 😳 but the staff was attentive and friendly. We asked for a new pot of tea and the next round of carts the foods were finally hot. Not a lot of selection but did have tofu hua! Which is one of my favorites and it was done well! The food could have been a lot better but the overall experience have me doubt if I would visit again the next time I’m in the city. It was getting very busy when we left and you can tell the food was definitely hot. And more choices came around. So maybe we just went too early 🤷🏻♀️

Had takeout din sum and it was delicious. The place is almost impossible to access. It is located on the second floor of a sketchy mini indoor mall under a tall apartment complex. You must enter the building at one side and walk through the mall to the other side to go up broken stairs or a stationary escalator then follow arrows on floor to help you along your way. The food took over 30 minutes to be ready even though they said to return in 15 min. The back of house staff apologized but not the man, who might have been the owner, who took my order. He appeared to enjoy talking with customers and people he knew at a reserved table specific for office/business work close to entrance/cash register. I enjoy listening to their loud conversation while waiting for my order in an otherwise quiet setting. I’ll be back for the food.
