Restorante Il Rialto

This theatre is still beautiful and a great place to see a concert. Comfortable seating. Pretty good sound. Pretty good visibility from the balcony. Very polite staff. Downstairs is a big area for general admission- standing. Upstairs in the balconies there is assigned seating. The show was supposed to start at 8, but people were outside in a lineup around the block and down the street. When we got to the balcony we were told by an usher to sit anywhere we found seats. Instructions he had been given. We explained that we had assigns seats, and he apologized and said that it does not work that way. So we sat where we found. Once the show started and for eight songs, the ushers moved people around and put them in their proper seats. Bravo to the ushers for being able to sort this out. They handled this very well. Unfortunately we could not properly enjoy the show until this was over. It’s great venue, just a little bit more organization needed.

I've only experienced one live rock show here, but I was very impressed with the acoustics. The look of the place speaks for itself. A gorgeous venue indeed, and situated in a great part of Montreal with plenty of watering holes and eateries nearby for a pre-show cocktail/bite. My only complaint was the seating. It felt a bit crowded. For me, the floor is for standing not banquet chairs.
