Hansa's Steak & Grill

A friend suggested here and said its a diamond in the rough and he wasnt wrong. The staff were attentive, the food was delicious, the prices are good and we all enjoyed a great evening. The rough really only refers to the location we just didn't expect such a good meal away from the usual locations. Make sure you leave room for dessert.

Highly recommend booking a table online via their website, as this place is a full house from Friday to Sunday. Doesn’t look much from the outside, but warms up on the inside and it’s all about the food and customer service here. Huge shoutout to the Maître D, she works the floor with grace and presence. Takes time out in between to check on each table for a small chit chat. The steaks are of high quality and the chef cooks to perfection. I had the rib eye and couldn’t have been more happy. I can confidently say that this steakhouse can matchup with any establishment in the city. A gem in the suburbs.

The Renza Waygu Steak was superb complimented with sides of King Edward potatoes fried in duck fat and a Roquette Pear & Walnut Salad. Great wines, cocktails and German beers had. Attentive staff, great food, cosy atmosphere and a must dine at experience. Thanks for a great night to kick start a long weekend.

As you drive down the industrial area of Mordialloc, I wondered if we were in the right place, then you see the lights come on, and stepping inside, quickly realise this was indeed the place that we had heard rumours of a 'great steak' about. From the second we stepped in, we were made to feel welcome in the intimate set up there, staff were welcoming and attentive without being over hearing. Wine selection was excellent and well suited to match meats. For the non steak eater, salmon on offer was a generous size and excellently done. But the glory item here is the steak. I love when a place only does a smaller menu, but does those things extremely well, and this is one of those places. The steak was done to perfection and the sides perfect to sit along side. A great size serve of meat, amazing sauces to compliment it (if wanted). Overall we left with full tummies and big smiles and a commitment to come back soon. Would recommend booking as only a small place so I think would struggle with walk ups
