Ava's Downtown Market And Deli

I regularly buy and enjoy the mangoes at AVAs, and would like to buy more products there, but inventory management is an issue. They run out of items and it seems like a long delay before that product repopulates a shelf. Take Santa Cruz organic concord grape juice, as an example. I'd love to buy it at AVAs, since they carry it, but it seems like their most popular of about 30 juice varieties, and it always seems to be OUT OF STOCK, forcing me to buy this grape juice, or an alternative, elsewhere., It seems like they should notice there are 30 juices and one runs out of stock FIRST every single week, leaving an empty useless section of the shelf. Why not change the amount bought when re-buying this type? The recent purchase I made a month ago gives them the freedom to over-stock. Buying a jar in September 2020, the jar-top "best used by" date is June, 2022 - almost 2 years ahead. They should not worry at all about having too much inventory and over-extending beyond the "best used by" date. This seems to be their top-selling juice and would never last that long. Please team, read this review and make changes! This grape juice never seems to go out of stock at WHOLE FOODS or NOB HILL, but why give them the advantage of my purchase dollars. I would prefer to see AVA's stay in business and to receive these shopping dollars! This is one of the very few local grocery stores in the area that is family run. The owner is always there to help or share a nice word. Their products are well selected and good quality while affordable. They carry products you’ll have a hard time finding elsewhere. This remains my favorite place over any other for fresh good bread, fresh vegetables, fruits...cheese, wine, a variety of meats and so much more; this place has a soul! Do yourself a favor, take a pick and shop there. You’ll be glad to keep this small business gem alive!
