Not a large restaurant, very friendly service! Ordered their special shoyu tonkatsu ramen and fried chicken. The ramen had kind of a sweet shoyu flavor, not very fatty broth, tons of bean sprouts and cabbage which lighten the soup base. Different than the many ramen I have had, but I liked it! It was quite large, I do wish the noodles were a bit more al dente. The fried chicken pieces were very delicious, light coating, juicy, and tasty!

Had their Jiro ramen and like it, though it's not as thick as one in Tokyo. Note that I am not Jiro freak and my memory was probably not that trustworthy. I'd return here and try other menu. They are friendly and definitely an excellent ramen restaurant.

Good ramen. I was looking for a vegetarian broth ramen places and found this one. It is popular for the non veg options as well. I tried their black pepper chicken karaage which came with mayo. Tasted good to me. For main course, I took Vegetable Shiro Ramen. It came with mushrooms, baby corn, bamboo shoots and sweet corn. I couldn't finish the ramen but finished the miso soup. Would definitely recommend if you are looking to eat vegetarian or vegan ramen. We took some warm house sake to go with our food. It did not disappoint. Expect wait times on weekends.

Amazing ramen! We've been going to this place for 5+ years and the quality is always the same! Friendly staff and enough menu options for a delicious meal. If you're going with a large group allow extra time for seating arrangements. Great place for a date night!

After they started serving Chashu shoyu ramen as a ramen for the month in September this place quickly became the best ramen place for me in the bay area. Authentic shoyu broth with a strong katsuo bushi flavor, properly cooked thin noodle and slices onions are what I've been missing since I left Tokyo. There's no long line to wait as other newly opened ramen chains which is a great plus too. I seriously hope they continue to serve this even after the end of September as they do for a few other ramens for previous months. I tried Jiro style tonkotsu ramen too, people say that one is too healthy (no enough pork fat) for Jiro style but I ready liked the combination of black pepper, garlic and pork fat. Will definitely try again too.

Everytime I came here I feel I had a great experience. The chicken paitan, tsukemen, etc are all delicious. Or a plain old tonkotsu is not bad either. The Shoyu Tonkotsu ramen is very filling and delicious too. This is probably the only place in Bay Area serving Nirou-kei ramen. Sometimes you have to wait to get seated. They use non-reuseable chopsticks. So for environmental consciousness person you should bring your own chopsticks.

I used to love this shop, until I visited other ramen shops like Orenchi and authentic shops in Japan. Compared to other ramen places, the broth is very rich and flavorful (probably my favorite part of the dishes) and the egg is done very nicely. However, the noodles are average (store bought) and the broth tends too be on the saltier side. I highly recommend the vegetable shio, but with a diluted broth.

Love the ramen + chasu negi Gohan (rice bowl with glazed pork and spring onion. Also like theres chicken karate with Japanese mayo. Among the ramen, weve tried the chicken toripaitan, with chicken broth and ground meat. Also tried the shoyu chasu special, which is a clearer and more fishy (dashi) broth, and lastly the miso ramen. They have regular and large sizes, regular usually around $13 and large around $16. My husband prefers the large size or the regular with extra noodles. For +3.5 you can get a side dish such as the rice bowl or half portion of chicken karaage.
