The Bombay Havelli

Though dis place was never heard of by us before from any of our acquaintance... we randomly ended up being at dis place by a quick surf on Zomato for Rajasthani or Gujarati cuisine... so glad we landed at dis place.... We were with our infant and thus were looking for a family friendly restaurant... sup wen we entered dis place dey hv two set up... ground floor and mezzanine floor.. And for two ppl dey insisted on sitting at d ground floor set up as mezzanine is meant for big groups... on insisting dey did allow us for d mezzanine and we r glad as d ambience der is comparatively better... and has that typical small colourful wooden chairs wid Indian art work.. D typical Rajasthani touch... Coming to food, we wanted to order Rajasthan n Gujarati cuisine but to our delight we found dis place serves parsi food as well and my better half loves parsi food.. Food is super yumm n you can go with staff recommendations once you let dem know d cuisine you are looking for..😋

Small place.. ambience may not be quite like a haveli. But service was pretty quick and food fresh. Portions were just right for two. Mostly employs differently abled. There is a unique chair lift for differently abled to get to the first floor where there are bigger tables and small rest room. The rest room has a water closet with 'safe seat' too. Thali is not in the menu.

Food is pretty good. Quantity is well defined - small is for 2 people and large is for 3 people. Quantity of small is efficiently sufficient for 2 people, not more and not less. Chole bhature is nice. Chole has good gravy and well cooked chana in it. Veg biryani is also pretty good. Not too spicy. Khichia churi is also good. All this for 2 people in lunch was pretty good. Overall, loved the food experience.

Located In Opera House , Charni Road which is walkable distance from charni road Station. All staff members are so supportive here. Very good authentic Gujarati dishes are served here along with punjabi and italian dishes. I have tried chole puri and panner lababdar and both were so yummy and delicious. Various options to try in dessert also. Overall Very Good place to dinein. All Gujjus must visit this place.

Me being a hard core Non vegetarian rarely goes to a pure veg restaurant. But at Bombay havelli I was in for a surprise. What stood out the most was the quality and taste of the food. The veg platter had a mix of Gujarati marwadi and Italian dishes...perfect blend. Must order Seasonal aamras and puri was delicious In main course we had ordered lasagne and paneer pulaav. I am pretty sure u order any dish here and your taste buds are going to love it. I have cut 1 star only bcoz of the maintainance of the restaurant. it's just been a year and you can see cracks in the wall, paint come off , not pleasing to the eye. But as long as veg food goes this is a place to visit

The first thing that catches your eye is the beautiful wall painting depicting the traditional village scenary . The seating arrangement has a royal touch to it. We ordered the global platter which was yum. It's a must when you order it. Other dishes we ordered were gatte ki sabzi with roti, Alfredo pasta and jalebi rabari. The jalebi rabari was too delicious. Overall we were highly satisfied with our visit.
