National Hindu Restaurant

Spend a lifetime in SoBo and yet never ran into this one until I read about it in an online article. The location takes a bit of walking to but it is in a very nice place surrounded by heritage buildings. The hotel is humble, efficient with a decent crowd and amazing value for money. We had the Ginger Lemon drink (awesome!), Garlic Masala Dosa (strong but nice), Onion Rawa Masala Dosa (crispy like a papad but nice) and Cold Coffee (OK OK, not much sweet). The cocunut chutney seemed a bit suspect and one of us who tried it didn't like it. The sambar was alright.

Had an amazing experience at the restaurant serving south indian cuisine which was simple and yet delightful. The servers were also polite and respectful when ordering and would sometime ask if you need anything else. Anyhow when I entered it took me back to it's Initial beginnings, which gave the vibe of old bombay during those british times. I must say the idli vada sambar was indeed amazing alongside the chutney too! I will give it a 5 star

This Family owned Pure vegetarian South Indian restaurant is now being run by 3rd generation. The authenticity is being maintained well and the owners are extremely polite in behaviour. The father son dua ensure comfort of their customers. If you are near by for Cruise terminal then this is very near (walking). Must try is their Onion rawa Masala and samosa. Kudos to the restaurant kitchen team 👍.
